Ask yourself: would Russia *intentionally* bomb/destroy what they would later help rebuild?
No, it isn't logical. The reasons for the destruction in Mariupol are:
-Ukrainian forces (army & Azov) embedding in & militarizing civilian areas (hospitals, schools, occupying apartment buildings) & firing from those areas upon Russian/DPR forces which would then return fire
-Ukrainian forces firing upon these areas themselves; mining the areas; destroying as they retreat.
-Ukraine staging false flags to incriminate Russia (Mariupol maternity hospital, for one)
It's the same as we saw in Syria, where terrorists dubbed "rebels" by Western & Gulf state & corporate-owned media would bunker deep below, surface to fire on Syrian forces (& on civilians) then retreat below, and would also occupy & militarize schools, hospitals & residential areas. Same playbook. And in Syria, it is up to the state & allies to rebuild the destruction *caused* by these terrorists & their Western & Gulf backers.

NBC (which recently smeared a number of journalists, including myself, as Russian propagandists) actually did some quasi journalism years prior (though still spin Ukraine's fascists as heroic):

"As we wrote earlier (https://xn--r1a.website/pezdicide/1596), Western governments no longer hide their true motives towards Russia. This time, German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock said Red-Telegram-dwrussian) on the creation of a ministerial program to support "persecuted foreign journalists" who left Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Afghanistan.
One can easily guess that Burbock was talking about "democracy" and the need for "a free media to inform citizens and hold authorities and governments to account." The aim of the program is to enable journalists to "work freely".
Very beautiful and predictable words, however, in their essence they mean nothing. It is obvious that the strategic goal of such programs is to strengthen the information war against Russia, and at the same time create such a media background that would justify to the Europeans all the miscalculations and failures of their governments by the machinations of the Kremlin. Has the standard of living dropped? Moscow is to blame, not your own government.
Burbock announced the creation of this program at the Global Media Forum (https://www.dw.com/en/gmf/s-43101535) in Bonn, hosted by Deutsche Welle. Half of the forum program is dedicated to information literacy and fake recognition. By the way, Burbock did not forget to mention that “disinformation” is the main weapon of the Kremlin, which everyone needs to learn to resist together, including through the hands of the Russian citizens themselves, who preferred to leave and feed themselves on such generous programs.
True, almost simultaneously on June 19, an article is published in (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jun/19/russia-backed-network-of-syria-conspiracy-theorists-identified) The Guardian (https:/ /www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jun/19/russia-backed-network-of-syria-conspiracy-theorists-identified) about the Russian-backed “Syria conspiracy network” allegedly “exposed” by them. Naturally, without any evidence of funding. Independent journalist Eva Bartlett (https://xn--r1a.website/Reality_Theories/7206) (Canada) who has been working for several years in Syria and questioned the dominant narratives in the Western press, including those about Assad's alleged chemical weapons. Obviously, since such an article appears in The Guardian, then these independent journalists really interfere with someone and they are trying to expose them as “conspiracy theorists”.
By the way, Eva Bartlett recently wrote (https://xn--r1a.website/pezdicide/1453) that independent journalists in the West who challenge the mainstream narratives about Syria, Donbass, Ukraine, and others are being persecuted and slandered. A recent article by The Guardian just once again confirms this thesis. Well, as for the case of Julian Assange, which is now reaching its peak (https://xn--r1a.website/pezdicide/1605), we generally keep silent.
I wonder what German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock would say about these cases. What about freedom of the media? No, you don't understand, this is Kremlin disinformation! The good Burbock, who sincerely worries about democracy, would say, so she just establishes programs for unfortunate journalists.
However, no one would have asked her such questions on the Deutsche Welle forum, because only the “right people” are gathered there."

Yesterday, watching Turkey's Concord leave Mariupol port, escorted by Russia to safe waters. It was the first foreign ship to leave the port, after repairs & after Russia demined the deadly mess Ukraine left behind.

I just spent 2 hours with Roman Kosarev at Emergency Services in Kievskiy district of Donetsk. The Ukrainian shelling was intense and relentless.
The building has blown out windows, sand-bagged windows to attempt to protect the workers. Five days ago, the Chief's office was damaged by shrapnel from the shelling, thankfully he had just stepped out a minute before the blast.
One of their fire trucks was targeted yesterday, one of the emergency services workers injured and hospitalized in critical condition as a result. The men mentioned having seen a drone above them prior to the strike. The targeting was unquestionably deliberate and, thus, a war crime.
Like the medics of the Donbass, these emergency services workers are unsung heroes.
We had hoped to accompany them as they went out on calls, but this morning their communications were cut by shelling.
*Longer video to follow.

Comment on a social media post of mine:
"You might be interested to know that a few of my friends on FB are beginning to see the light. Thanks to your and others reporting facts in the first person. Thanks."
*This sort of thing is nice to hear, as it often seems a daunting uphill struggle to get people to think critically in the face of so much Ukrainian & Western propaganda.

Yesterday, I joined went to Popasnaya (LPR), a city liberated by Russian & LPR forces from Ukrainian nationalists ~1 month ago.
It is in ruins; what remains is still under constant shelling from Ukrainian forces about 1km away, including when we were there.
Amazingly, there were still apparently 5 people living there (50-70s), reliant on Russian/LPR humanitarian aid to survive (which they are being given). Roman brought his own addition, a variety of fruits, vegetables, tinned meats/fish, sanitary items, etc.
You won't hear about these people in Western corporate owned media because their suffering at the hands of Kiev & the nationalists' shelling doesn't fit the Western narrative. Likewise, you won't hear about Russia's delivery of humanitarian aid all over in areas Russia & Donbass forces have liberated, but it is happening.
*Photo: Destroyed Ukrainian armoured personnel carrier, formerly occupying residential area of Popasnaya...

In this video is the base of OSCE in the recently liberated Popasnaya, the base is filled with firing positions, ammo boxes, mines placed around, Ukrainian BRDM armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicle, etc.
We even established exactly which military unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was situated on the OSCE base.
There’s no doubt on which side the OSCE was on, a lot of evidence is present that the OSCE staff directed where the Ukrainian artillery should fire at, but that they were stationed together with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and even so with the Right Sector – that’s been recorded for the first time.

Severodonetsk has come under the full control of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Russian military spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said in a statement on Saturday.
He said the LPR cities of Severodonetsk and Borovskoye, along with the settlements of Voronovo and Sirotino, had been “completely liberated” following “successful offensive operations” by republic’s forces, which were supported by Russian troops.
Today’s announcement means “the entire left-bank territory of the Seversky Donets river within the borders of the Lugansk People’s Republic has come under its full control,” the spokesperson added.
Earlier this month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Severodonetsk “an epicenter of the confrontation in the Donbass.”
“In many ways, the fate of our Donbass is being decided there,” he claimed.
