Terrorist Attack on the Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib Mosque

The Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib Mosque in the city of Homs was subjected to a terrorist attack involving an improvised explosive device detonated within the mosque premises while civilians were performing their religious observances. The attack resulted in the death of 18 individuals and injuries to 27 others, including children. The incident occurred in a neighborhood predominantly inhabited by Alawites, confirming the deliberate and sectarian nature of the crime.

The deliberate targeting of civilians within a place of worship, when carried out in the context of repeated attacks against a specific religious group, constitutes persecution on religious grounds and amounts, by its nature and context, to a crime against humanity under the Rome Statute, as part of a widespread and systematic attack directed against a civilian population on religious grounds.

The attack constitutes a grave breach of the principle of civilian protection and the prohibition against targeting places of worship and qualifies as an act of terrorism prohibited under international law.

This incident forms part of a documented pattern of systematic persecution carried out by the de facto authority led by Ahmad al-Shara (Abu Mohammad al-Jolani) since its assumption of power in December 2025, affecting Alawite, Christian, and Druze communities across multiple regions of Syria.

In Joolani's "bright tomorrow" Syria predicted by some one year ago, unarmed civilians peacefully protesting Joolani's terrorist rule are attacked. Will legacy media or the UN—or any of the talking heads who endlessly screamed about human rights prior to Joolani taking power—condemn the violence of supporters of Joolani, violence NOT stopped by his "public security forces"?

The below was sent to me by a Syrian friend who knows the people attacked:


"A young man embraces his father to protect him from death during an attack on a peaceful gathering in Jableh

A father and his son were injured to varying degrees as a result of an attack carried out by groups of supporters of the transitional authority. They attacked a peaceful gathering near the hospital roundabout in the city of Jableh, about an hour after it began in the afternoon.

According to the testimony of the young man, Z.A., the attackers began by throwing stones at the protesters, then escalated into a direct assault using knives and sticks. This is in spite of the presence of barriers and of public security forces in the vicinity who did not intervene to protect the demonstrators.

The father suffers from diabetes. During the attack, after being hit by stones, he fell. His son threw himself on top of his father in an attempt to protect him from the blows.

The attack resulted in Z.A. being stabbed and sustaining multiple bruises. One of the stabbings reached the bone. He also suffered a strong blow to his head. His father was stabbed in the thigh, suffered a fracture in the foot bone, and also a blow to his head.

The circulating video documents the final moments of the attack, which lasted for about two minutes.

Z.A. said that due to fear of being arrested by the security forces, they did not go to the hospital for urgently needed treatment, instead forced to settle for first aid outside."
