🤝 ❤️ Russia's gold exports to China increased ninefold, reaching 25.3 tons. By the end of 2025, the value of these exports has grown almost fifteenfold, reaching $3.29 billion.

For comparison, Russia has sold $4 billion worth of weapons to China in recent years. We sell approximately $10-12 billion worth of food annually.

Currently, 6,545 gold deposits are owned by the Russian government. The faster the dollar collapses, the faster these volumes will grow.

🇺🇸🇨🇳 Trump plans to visit China in the first week of April, Politico reported.

Beijing has warned the US that new arms sales to Taiwan could derail the visit. The US is considering a major new defense package for Taiwan. However, there is another major factor hindering these plans: the Taiwanese opposition.

🇹🇼 The Kuomintang and People's Party are blocking approval of the new military budget. And for now, the opposition maintains a shaky majority in Taiwan's parliament.

Under US pressure, Taiwan attempted to pass a military budget of as much as $40 billion. This would increase defense spending from the current 2.5% to 3.3% of GDP. The opposition, however, wants to cut military spending by 70% to levels of five to six years ago. This would mean cutting purchases of new howitzers, Javelins, and HIMARS from the American defense industry.

Although previous contracts will not be completed until at least 2027.

Под давлением США на Тайване попытались принять военный бюджет аж на 40 миллиардов долларов. Это бы подняло трату на оборонку с нынешних 2,5% до 3,3% от ВВП. Оппозиция же хочет сократить военные расходы сразу на 70% до показателей пяти-шестилетней давности. Под нож тогда пойдут закупки новых гаубиц, джавелинов и HIMARS у американского ВПК.

Хотя и прошлые заключенные контракты будут выполнены не раньше 2027 года.

🇺🇸🇻🇪🛢 Venezuela is sending its first oil shipment to Israel in several years, Bloomberg reports.

The agency also claims that most of the Venezuelan oil has been sold over the past month to buyers in India, Spain, and the United States.

Furthermore, by banning shipments from Venezuela, the Trump administration is also trying to persuade Beijing to resume oil and gas purchases from the United States, a move it abandoned in the spring of 2025. Trump's April visit to China, if it takes place, increasingly risks becoming another fiasco.

🇮🇳 India adopted a record military budget of $94 billion.

The Indian government allocated a record 7.85 trillion Indian rupees (approximately $94.2 billion) to the Ministry of Defense in its draft budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. This is the largest defense budget in the country's history, an increase of 15.19% compared to last year.

The increase in military spending is due to the need to modernize the armed forces, operational needs, and emergency arms procurement following clashes with Pakistan.

The new military budget is nine times larger than Pakistan's military spending, but 3.5 times smaller than China's defense spending.
