Israeli Defense Minister Katz continued: "Hamas has used the residents of Gaza as human shields, built its terror infrastructure in the heart of the civilian population, and now holds them hostage—extorting money from them through the humanitarian aid system and preventing their departure from Gaza.

The plan will include exit options via land crossings, as well as special arrangements for departure by sea and air.

Countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have falsely accused Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow Gazans to enter their territory. Their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse. Meanwhile, countries like Canada, which has a structured immigration program, have previously expressed willingness to take in residents from Gaza.

The people of Gaza should have the right to freedom of movement and migration, as is customary everywhere in the world.

I welcome President @realDonaldTrump bold initiative, which can create extensive opportunities for those in Gaza who wish to leave, assist them in resettling in host countries, and support long-term reconstruction efforts in a demilitarized, threat-free Gaza after Hamas—an effort that will take many years.

US Approves $7.4Bn Sale Of More Weapons To Israel Used To Ravage Gaza

State department signs off on bombs and missiles sales that the US claims would help Israel ‘defend its borders’

The United States has announced the approval of the sale of more than $7.4bn in bombs, missiles and related equipment to Israel , which has used American-made weapons to devastating effect during the war in Gaza.

The state department has signed off on the sale of $6.75bn in bombs, guidance kits and fuses, in addition to $660m in Hellfire missiles, according to the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

The proposed sale of the bombs “improves Israel’s capability to meet current and future threats, strengthen its homeland defense, and serves as a deterrent to regional threats”, the DSCA said in a statement.

The missile sale would “improve Israel’s capability to meet current and future threats by improving the ability of the Israeli Air Force to defend Israel’s borders, vital infrastructure, and population centers”, it said.

Israel launched a hugely destructive offensive in Gaza in October 2023 in response to an unprecedented attack by Hamas that month.

Kanye West showed support for Sean "Diddy" Combs in the wake of the Bad Boy Records founder's ongoing sex trafficking case, saying, "Free Puff."

In the wake of Sean "Diddy" Combs' ongoing sex trafficking case, West showed support for the Bad Boy Records founder—who is currently in jail awaiting the May 5 trial for his charges—in a series of controversial messages.

"FREE PUFF," West wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Feb. 6, referring to one of Combs' former stage names, before adding in a separate message, "PUFF WE LOVE YOU."

And the 47-year-old also provided insight into why he believes his "brother" Combs—who pleaded not guilty to federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution following his September arrest—should be released from prison.

"JUST FOR CLARITY," West wrote in another Feb. 6 X message. "THEY TYRING TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF PUFF."

Accusing "white people" of trying to "scare n---as" through Combs' case, the "Monster" rapper continued in an additional post, "WHOS EVER AFTER PUFF WE GOTTA FIND OUT EXACTLY WHO THEY ARE."

And West didn't only come to the defense of Combs in his controversial internet rant. He also clapped back at criticism of his wife Bianca Censori's naked look at the 2025 Grammys and insisted that he deserved credit for the eyebrow-raising ensemble.

Dozens Of Palestinians Released From Israeli Jails In Fifth Prisoner Exchange

Many Palestinians freed under the ceasefire agreement for Gaza have been rushed to medical facilities, showing signs of starvation and torture inflicted by their Israeli captors

Israeli authorities released 183 Palestinian prisoners on 8 February, while Hamas released three Israeli captives from Gaza. The exchange completed the fifth round of prisoner releases as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement reached last month between Hamas and Israel.

WAFA news agency reports that the released Palestinian prisoners include 18 individuals serving life sentences, 54 others with long-term sentences, and 111 detainees from Gaza detained after the start of the war on 7 October 2023.

Freed Palestinian prisoner Shadi Barghouti in an interview:

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society reported that 42 of the prisoners released are from the occupied West Bank, three are from occupied Jerusalem, and 27 are from Gaza.

Additionally, seven prisoners serving life sentences were deported outside of Palestine, including Ahmed Atiyah Jaafari, Abdel Azim Hassan, Imad Abu Ajamiya, Falah Shehada, Montaser Abu Ghalion, Mansour Abu Aoun, and Youssef Iskafi.
