An immediate postdoc position is available in the area of image analysis and machine learning in the OPIRA laboratory at the Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Illinois Chicago. The applicant is responsible to analyze the optical coherence tomography (OCT) images of skin. He/she will develop image processing/machine learning algorithms for the segmentation and classification of OCT images. Students with a strong image processing background are highly encouraged to apply. Prior experience with machine learning is necessary. Understanding the features of OCT images is necessary. Proficiency in Matlab and Python is necessary. More details about the project will be discussed in the interview session.
