Title: #Internship for Methane Plume Detection with Element AI on GHGSat’s remote sensing data.

> Description: Hi Climate Change and AI enthusiasts,

I’m delighted to announce 2 internship positions at Element AI for enhancing methane plume detection using machine learning on remote sensing data from GHGSat’s satellites. The mandate is for 8 months in Montreal with potential remote work for social distanciation and a flexible start date from end of September to beginning of November 2020. The project will involve self-supervision techniques with large scale semantic segmentation models on remote sensing data. Fusion of multimodal information will also be explored for higher accuracy.

Scholarity: PhD student is preferable. Postdoc and MSc are admissible.
Required Background: strong engineering and machine learning skills, pytorch (or tensorflow), linux, semantic segmentation, large scale models.
Optional Background: climate change, remote sensing, self-supervision.

Apply to the E3 EPFL Excellence in Engineering Summer Internship Program 2022 till December 1st!

The application portal for the 2022 edition of the E3 EPFL Excellence in Engineering Summer Internship Program is now open. The program is organized by the School of Engineering of EPFL and offers an intensive research training opportunity to Bachelor and Master students from all around the world, with various scientific backgrounds.

Eligible students are Bachelor and Master students in many fields of engineering, science and technology, who have successfully completed at least their second year of Bachelor studies. Selected students will be matched with a laboratory based on their interests and backgrounds. They will be joining a research group for a period of 8 to 12 weeks during the summer months. Travel costs will be refunded on request and a monthly living allowance will be provided to cover housing and living expenses.

Area: Natural Language Processing

Koç University Summer Research Program is open to all graduate, undergraduate, and high school students, including international students. According to this program, the NLP group of the Faculty of Computer Science, headed by Dr. Gözde Gül Sahin, is inviting individuals interested in natural language processing. There are two projects in this field that will be explained to the candidates if they are invited for an interview.

Interested students are requested to send their resumes, along with some code samples from related projects, to the email address gosahin@ku.edu.tr (Please use "KUSRP Internship" as the email subject.)

Conditions:
1- Interest in research in the field of NLP, particularly Large Language Models.
2- Full commitment during the internship period. Thus, if you have other projects, summer schools, etc., and would only be able to work part-time on this, it will not be suitable for us.
3- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with deep learning libraries such as PyTorch.

Type of Cooperation: In-person (preferred) / Remote

Hints:
Continued cooperation after the official internship period is desirable if you are interested.
