“The American forces in the Middle East are large and influential, perhaps even larger than they were on the eve of Operation Rising Lion, and we can see that on screen as well.

We have, of course, the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which is making its way to the Middle East and is presumably already under the responsibility of US Central Command. It includes some 90 aircraft, among them at least 60 fighter jets.

We also have three destroyers in the Persian Gulf and eight missile ships, also under US Central Command's command.

There are six fighter squadrons deployed throughout the Middle East, in Jordan, Qatar, and other Gulf states.

In addition, there are aerial refueling and electronic warfare aircraft, as well as transport planes arriving in the region, both in recent hours and over the past week.

It must be said that we are talking about a truly formidable force; the United States is encircling Iran with a kind of troop buildup and preparing for all eventualities.
