Ron Arad was an Israeli pilot captured in 1986 in Lebanon by Amal and Hezbollah and was never found.

It was revealed in the mid-2000s that Iran was offered $10 billion for Ron Arad, which Iran never accepted. Ultimately, in 2006, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah announced him as dead.
