— People who talk about land corridors or pipelines to circumvent the Strait of Hormuz are truly low IQ.

1. Pipelines and land-based modes of transportation (trucks, trains etc.) cannot carry the same amounts of oil as VLCCs can. In fact, it doesn’t even come close.

2. A pipeline to circumvent the Strait of Hormuz is just as much within Iran’s targeting range, and probably even easier to hit than ships in the Strait.

I do not understand the negative reactions. We should always welcome increased cooperation and alliances between Muslim nations.

Of course, I too am skeptical about the true nature of this tripartite pact. I highly doubt any of these countries would ever dare say a word against Israel or the United States, let alone fight against them.

But in principle, Islamic cooperation and mutual defense treaties are much more preferable than a divided Ummah, even if we personally have strong differences with these countries.

If, however, this pact is used as an excuse to fight against fellow Muslims—like Iran, Yemen, and so on—it exposes the hypocrisy of these leaders and discredits the alliance immediately.

That’s the 4th tanker belonging to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) targeted just this week.

Since last week, the UAE has not exported a single barrel of oil by sea. The equation seems to be if Iran doesn’t sell oil, neither will the Arabs.
