—❗️🇸🇾 NEW: The Syrian Presidency announces an immediate ceasefire in Suwayda

'In light of the critical circumstances facing the country, and out of concern for the safety of Syrians, the unity of Syrian territory, and the safety of its people, and in response to its national and humanitarian responsibility, the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic declares a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire.

The Presidency calls on everyone to allow the Syrian state, its institutions, and its forces to implement this ceasefire responsibly, ensuring stability and halting the bloodshed.

The Presidency calls on all parties, without exception, to fully adhere to this resolution, immediately cease all hostilities in all areas, ensure the protection of civilians, and ensure unhindered access for humanitarian aid.

In this context, security forces have begun deploying in a number of areas to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire, maintain public order, and ensure the protection of citizens and their property, thus enhancing calm and stability.

The Presidency warns against any violation of this resolution, which will be considered a clear violation of national sovereignty and will be met with the necessary legal measures in accordance with the constitution and applicable laws.
