And if they subsequently trigger the 'snapback' mechanism, Iran should withdraw from the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) on nuclear weapons.

If any of these two things happen, the responsibility lies squarely with the United States and Europe.'

'The E3 have had SEVEN YEARS to implement their JCPOA commitments. They have utterly failed, either by design or ineptitude.

Instead of displaying remorse or a desire to facilitate diplomacy, the E3 is today promoting confrontation through the absurd demand that Iran must be punished for exercising its right under the JCPOA to respond to non-performance by counterparts.

As I have warned: Another major strategic mistake by the E3 will compel Iran to react STRONGLY. Blame will lie solely and FULLY with malign actors who shatter their own relevance.'

— NOTE: The E3 is France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Those are the remaining Western signatories of the original 2015 Nuclear Deal (officially called the JCPOA).

After the United States withdrew from the JCPOA in 2018, these European nations called on Iran to stay in the deal. So Iran did.

Slowly but surely, the E3 nations started to abandon their committments, and in response, in full compliance with the JCPOA, Iran did the same.

(The JCPOA allows Iran to scale back its committments if the other side fails its obligations).

These European countries are now complaining that Iran doesn't keep its committments, while they were the very first to abandon theirs.

1. Israel wants to strike before Iran can use the recently obtained intelligence to its advantage.

2. Netanyahu wants Israel to strike Iran as soon as possible, preventing the Ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jews from leaving his coalition and causing snap elections.

3. Israel doesn't want to give Iran the opportunity for a potential preemptive strike.
