⚡️🇮🇷🇷🇺The second phase of integrating Iran’s Interbank Information Transfer Network (Shetab) with Russia’s Mir system was unveiled in the presence of senior officials from both countries. This is an important development for providing tourism and small business between Iran and Russia.

Currently, NFC payments are available in the Iranian payment network, including small purchases without entering a PIN code. This functionality has also been implemented for payments through the Mir Pay app as part of the integration between the Shetab and Mir networks. Russian tourists and businesspeople can make purchases at certain retail outlets using smartphones running the Android operating system. Holders of Russian cards will be able to conduct small transactions via Mir Pay on Shaparak terminals without entering a PIN, while larger transactions will require PIN entry.
Iran's main tourist centers, popular among Russians, were the first to be equipped with this technology.

The footage, which first emerged on a small Iranian outlet called 'Ansar News', shows go-pro footage of an Iranian man, speaking Russian in a bad Persian accent, fighting in Ukraine. The Russians seem to have a difficult time communicating with him.

At 50 seconds into the video, the man starts speaking Persian, complaining that his foot is injured and he cannot enter the battlefield without medical attention.

It is unclear whether the Iranian man is simply a volunteer, an actual Iranian soldier, or whether he is a naturalized Russian citizen called into service.
