The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) has denied rumors about armed infiltrations and its withdrawal from border areas in Bekaa, affirming that regular patrols along the Syrian border continue. Authorities urged caution in reporting and warned against spreading unverified news.

While concerns persist over possible extremist infiltration into northern Lebanon, local sources report Tripoli remains calm with no immediate threats. On 12 July, the LAF detained over 100 Syrians who attempted illegal entry. Some residents, however, claim militants have been gradually entering since Assad’s fall in late 2024.

US envoy Tom Barrack visited Beyrouth over the weekend, threatening Lebanon's government over the perceived unwillingness to "disarm" Hezbollah. It seems as if the terrorist sitting in Damascus might soon be activated to annex Lebanon.
