Tens of thousands take to the streets in Cologne for Öcalan's freedom
Several tens of thousands of people took part in the central demonstration for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan in Cologne on Saturday.
It had already been clear in the morning that the expected 15,000 participants would be exceeded.
The demonstration march over the Severinsbrücke and Deutzer Brücke bridges stretched over several kilometers.
Overall, it was largely peaceful, with the police only occasionally attempting to pull people out, sometimes successfully. The reasons for this were mostly unclear.
Despite the provocation and thanks to the well-functioning security concept, the march returned to its starting point in the afternoon.
Speeches and greetings from various political parties and organizations were then read out.
The demonstration was one of the largest protests by the Kurdish diaspora and its allies in recent years.

RAQA- The Raqqa Revolutionary Youth Movement held its fourth conference with the motto "We will organize with a youth awakening and conquer the physical freedom of leader Apo." The conference was attended by dozens of young people.
The conference began with a welcome to the participants and a minute of respect for the memory of the martyrs of the revolution. Afterwards, the Apo leader's views on the role of youth were read by Feda Muslim Al-Bitar. Then the opening speech of the conference was given by Cahid Hasen. Cahid Hasen spoke about the international conspiracy, its purpose and how to defeat it.
The conference continued with an assessment of the past year, discussions and proposals.

Malcolm X was shot 59 years ago today
On February 21, 1965, Malcolm X was shot dead during a speech in Harlem.
Malcolm X was one of the most important heads of the Black Power movement in the USA and, as a revolutionary, stood up for the rights of the oppressed.
In this he saw the need for self-defense, which is often superficially equated with the use of violence.
The X in his name was a sign of rejection of his surname, which his family bore as former enslaved people.
Over time, his political activities and his analysis of racism and imperialism became increasingly sharp. He saw a direct link between racism and capitalism. Towards the end of his life, he referred more and more to socialist theories.
Many of his ideas were later implemented by the Black Panther Party for Self Defense or the League of Revolutionary Black Workers. To this day, they are a source of inspiration for movements worldwide.

AMED - Kurdish Literary Association Co-President Rêdûr Dîjle said: "The struggle must be increased for the Kurdish language to become the official and educational language."
February 21 has been accepted as "International Mother Language Day" by the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) since 1999. World Mother Language Day is also celebrated as a day when languages that are lost or at risk of disappearing are remembered. To date, 18 languages are under threat within the scope of the single language policy in Turkey. The assimilation policy implemented on the Kurdish language continues uninterruptedly. Kurdish Literary Association Co-President Rêdûr Dîjle touched upon the importance of the mother tongue on the occasion of February 21.
