On this day in 1999, people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan was abducted in an international complot and consequentially put in prison in Imrali (Turkey). The life and philosophy of Abdullah Öcalan inspired millions of people to fight for democracy, ecology and women’s liberation.

As Internationalists, we came to join the Rojava Revolution because we found inspiration within the revolution that is based on Öcalans philosophy.
