Several Turkish-backed mercenaries eliminated in Clashes south of Manbij and Tabqa

Several Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries were eliminated and others were injured during fierce clashes with the Manbij Military Council in the southern countryside of Manbij and with the Tabqa Military Council forces in the Deir Hafer area. These clashes took place from yesterday morning to today morning.

Our forces remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting the people of these regions from the violations and crimes perpetrated by the mercenaries. We reaffirm our readiness to counter all terrorist attacks.

Youth after they escaped the encirclement by Turkish backed militias in the North of Aleppo: "Resistance was done and will always be done!"

After being displaced again because of Turkish backed attacks on Rojava, Youth from Afrin call on young people around the the world to join hands and Defend the Revolution in Rojava.

Since the large scale attacks on Syria and Rojava from Nov. 27th onwards around 200.000 people were trapped in an encirclement in Shahba/Tel Rifat in the North of Aleppo. Through an corridor they were able to escape to the Euphrates region. Listen to what they have to say and act.

This photo was taken a little more than two years ago, in the late autumn of 2022, in the city Lyman (Donetsk Oblast), recently liberated from Russian imperialists. "Freedom to the peoples - death to empires! Long live the resistance of Rojava!" ("Bijî berxwedana Rojava!") - is written on a piece of cardboard found in a house abandoned by residents and destroyed by the occupiers. On the left in the photo is one of the founders of BOAK (Combat Organization of Anarcho-Communists) Dmitry Petrov, who became martyr in the battle with the Russian fascists near Bakhmut on April 19, 2023.

This seemingly not so loud action of solidarity, made as a response to the call to actions against Turkish bombings and the Turkish state's use of chemical weapons, made headlines in the Turkish media and caused the international scandal. The Turkish government demanded an official apology from the Ukrainian side. As it turns out, it is more than easy to offend the powerful dictator Erdogan. It also teaches us that you never know what the consequences of even the simplest actions will be. Each of them is important.

Dima Petrov was in Rojava, got education there and never forgot about solidarity with Kurdistan. He understood perfectly well the importance of the Kurdish revolutionary movement for revolutionaries all over the world. The Kurdish revolution was a guiding line and a guiding star for him in his organizational efforts in the post-Soviet space.

Remembering Dima, we must help the revolution to survive and win in this difficult hour. Therefore, it is important today to join the solidarity actions with the revolution. Participate in existing initiatives, start new ones. Every action is important!

War in Syria: HTS and SNA – “rebels” or jihadists?

Situational update from Rojava:

Clashes between the SDF and the SNA took place west of the Euphrates on the night of December 4 to Thursday, December 5. Several sources speak of advances and territorial gains for the SDF. The area lies south of the Minbic region. In recent days, both Turkish media and the SNA have announced their intention to advance on Minbic. The first attempts were successfully repelled in the last few days. In addition to Minbic, the symbolic town of Kobane, which is close to the border, could also be in Turkey's sights.

It is not only in the Euphrates region that the Turkish state attacks the Self-Administration on a daily basis. On December 4, an Arab youth, Ebdullah Elî El Ehmed, and a Kurdish youth, Enas Temam Mihemed, were killed in a drone strike in the small town of Dêrik in the east of the Self-Administration. Both were sitting in the evening sun at a car wash in the city center when the rocket hit. Today, December 5, both were buried in Derik under huge public attendance.

Meanwhile, more than 100,000 people have fled from the SNA-occupied Shehba to the Self-Administration areas further east. In the middle of winter, people have lost their homes and at least one child has already frozen to death. While the de facto war situation persists, the Self-Administration is trying its best to provide for the people. The population is called upon to show initiative and take in the people. The Kurdish Red Crescent, Heyva Sor, is collecting donations internationally.

In the Shehba region, which is now occupied and controlled by Turkish-led jihadists, around 15,000 people have been banned from fleeing to the Areas of the Self-Adminstration. There are reports that young men are being pulled out of cars on the grounds that they could be fighters. The SDF announced that an entire car convoy of over 100 vehicles was hijacked by refugees today, December 5. There is great fear that people, especially women, will be tortured and enslaved, just like under ISIS.


After days of fighting in the city of Hama, it has now fallen into the hands of the Islamist militia HTS. Shortly after the withdrawal of the Assad regime's troops, HTS announced that it would now start the "March on Homs", which is the last city before the Syrian capital Damascus. A spokesman for the KCK (Union of Communities of Kurdistan), Zagros Hiwa, warns of NATO's possible plan to divide Syria into three parts. This would mean that there would be a Kurdish part, a Sunni part under the control of the HTS and an Alevi part under the control of Assad.

It is still difficult to predict what the future of Syria and large parts of the Middle East will look like. As in the self-administrated district of Sheikh Maqsood in northern Aleppo, which is holding out despite the most adverse conditions, old and young are preparing for resistance in all the towns and villages of the Self-Administration. Even though Shehba has been occupied, it is clear to everyone that no one will leave the field without a fight. The images of demonstrations and actions all over the world also reaffirm to people here that Rojava and the Self-Administration will be defended everywhere in the world.

Young women hung a banner at the Stuttgart arms factory in Germany

Young women members of Jinên Ciwan ên Tekoşer (TekoJIN - Young Women Fighters) organized a civil disobedience event and hung banners against Rojava attacks at the Stuttgart arms factory in Germany.

The young women hung a banner that read "Keine Waffen für Erdogans Kriege, Hände weg von Rojava" (No weapons for Erdogan's wars, hands off Rojava) on the security fence of the ThyssenKrupp arms company, which cooperates with the Turkish fascist state, and said that the ThyssenKrupp arms factory is responsible for the attacks in Rojava.

The young women members of TekoJIN issued a written statement and said among other things, "Thanks to the support of German arms companies, Turkey is carrying out attacks of military destruction in the region."
