There are lots of ways to cheat in an election. From today's Texas Minute:
Husband & Wife Run for Same Office in Llano County
In Llano County, a husband and wife are running against each other for the same commissioner seat, turning a battle over the public library system into a family affair.
Robert Little, running as a Republican, and Democrat Leila Green Little are both challenging longtime Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Don Moss (R), who has served nearly 20 years on the Llano County Commissioners Court. According to Moss, the center of this challenge is the Llano County library system. He wants to keep what he calls "dirty books" out of children's hands; the Littles, on the other hand, oppose his efforts.
The Littles did not respond to Texas Scorecardโs request for comment about the unusual nature of their political operation.
Jessica McRee-Grabert, the Llano County GOP chairwoman, confirmed that both Moss and Robert Little met all the criteria to be on the March Republican primary ballot but declined to comment on either. The Democrats' county chair, Richard Day, described the Littles as "wonderful people" who "would be an enormous improvement over the incumbent."
So, two Democrats are challenging a Republican; one of them as a "Republican." Gotcha.
Sydnie Henry has the head-scratching story.

Clay Parikh is a national hero!
And his historic testimony from Arizona got Trump's attention on Christmas this year.
Clay worked at the national testing labs testing 13 different election vendors for over 9 years and came out after 2020 as a whistleblower on how vulnerable the voter machines were.
No one on this planet has more expertise on cyber security as it relates to these machines than he does and he joined the ranks of election integrity to help bring justice for 2020 as well as secure our nation's future for our children and grandchildren.
Truly honored to have met him and get to work with him over the years.
And Mr. Parikh is a legit bad ass since he was Marine hand-to-hand combat instructor. ๐

The Dallas County Republican Party abandoned plans Tuesday to hand-count tens of thousands of ballots on primary day in March, saying it could not line up enough workers to carry out the manual tally.
County GOP chief Allen West acknowledged the staffing shortfall after weeks of planning, reversing a push that would have made Dallas County the nationโs largest jurisdiction to attempt a manual ballot count.
The decision halts a plan driven by GOP skepticism of county voting machines, even as research shows hand counting takes longer, costs more and increases the risk of error.
โWhen you canโt get the personnel that means you are not going to be able to count in the right amount of time and that would put election judges in a bad situation,โ West said.
He said the party raised more than $420,000 to fund the effort, which would not have applied to early voting. But as of Tuesday it had recruited only half of the 3,000 workers needed to conduct the labor-intensive hand count on primary day March 3.
Texas law requires vote totals to be submitted to the state 24 hours after polls close on an Election Day, setting up a herculean task with 49,000 ballots expected to be cast on that day alone based on past voter turnout.
The reversal comes as the Dallas County Elections Department was working to finalize contracts with the Republican and Democratic parties for managing their separate primaries. Elections Administrator Paul Adams told the Commissioners Court on Dec. 16 that he wanted the contracts in place by Dec. 20.
With that deadline passed, West said he intends to finalize the contract with the county on Wednesday.
โIt was a great effort and I thank all the people that supported the effort, but if I can use a military term from World War II, sometimes you donโt want to go a bridge too far,โ said West, a retired Army lieutenant colonel. โI donโt think we had the time to find the additional volunteers.โ
How the GOP hand-count plan unraveled
September: Dallas County Republicans voted to pursue hand-counting ballots for the March 3 GOP primary, citing distrust of voting machines.
The pitch: Party chairman Allen West cast the move as a transparency push, even as election experts warned hand counts are slower, costlier and more error-prone.
The hurdle: The plan required a separate, precinct-based election and 3,000 trained workers to count Republican ballots on Election Day.
The logistics: Party leaders said they raised enough money for the hand count but struggled to recruit enough workers.
Now: The GOP has dropped the plan, ending what would have been the largest hand-count effort in the country.

24 states refuse to share the Social Security Numbers associated to their Voter Roll Registrations because they claim they're protecting your Social Security Number and "Privacy"
You know...The same federal government that already has your social security number and asks for it on nearly every federal form as proof of identification. ๐คก
For having the most secure election system in the world, a lot of states seems awfully reluctant sharing the data that would essential prove that.
Even after paying for the ~$1,500 for the state's voter rolls in so-called deep red state of Texas, we have been waiting for the voter rolls since September 2025....that's 5 months now.
We have states that let anyone register to vote...even up to the last minute. We have states that let you vote without an sort of photo ID.
I our own work, we clearly see not even a hint of concern from elections officals to get the mailing address right.
Kind of odd the offices will just copy in whatever is entered on the form...even if you put "ON DA MOON" as your address and at the same time ask you to sign up to vote by mail.
And yet, we will be gaslit by Secretary of States as well as local political and election officials that its "cOsPiRaCy ThEoRy" talk to even suggust there is something wrong with elections.

As you keep an eye on the legislature this session, be on the look out for "pilot programs" related to election administration. This is becoming a pattern.
The only reason for pilot programs is to introduce something they intend to make permanent.
Reject these ideas at all costs. They are rarely positive and typically weaken our elections.

๐จ๐จ๐จ๐จRED ALERT : SB215 ๐จ๐จ๐จ๐จprovide for a pilot program for the implementation of a secured cryptographically end-to-end verifiable voting system in certain jurisdictions. ๐จ๐จ๐จ https://sdlegislature.gov/Session/Bill/27259 This bill literally introduces scratch off lottery style ballots for crypto style voting from your phone. This bill also allows for "the governing body" to "WAIVE" current state laws, and get together with the AG and SOS (since they are so trustworthy) to determine which laws are OK to "WAIVE" for this pilot. This voting system has not been approved by the EAC, hasn't been submitted to the EAC, and has been rejected by the EAC b/c they cannot test that type of technology. Our state law requires EAC certification, and state level certification prior to use and distribution in the State of South Dakota. SB215 allows for county auditors to verify the source code, but the county auditors didn't even know what a cast vote record was and fought tooth and nail to promote the "CVRS DO NOT EXIST" narrative, never have had the proper equipment to decrypt and view the digital audit trail created by the tabulators, and have ZERO credentials to read source code or verify it's accuracy. There is a whole lot of unconstitutional looking language and questionable "WAIVERS" of state laws for those who want to try it.
