According to Foresight News, OpenAI has launched a new lightweight artificial intelligence model named o3-Mini, now available on ChatGPT and through API access. The o3-Mini model offers developers features such as function calling, structured output, and developer messaging. Additionally, developers can choose from three reasoning difficulty levels—low, medium, and high—to optimize for specific use cases.
Pro users will have unlimited access to o3-Mini, while Plus and Team users will experience a rate limit three times higher than usual.
