Japan's #Himawari9 satellite has been tracking Tropical Storm #Yagi this month.

This 11-second extended loop covers Yagi's path, which crossed the Philippines, over the last 55 hours.

Infrared imagery via Japan's #Himawari9 🛰️ is showing what is now Super Typhoon #Yagi churning over the South China Sea. With sustained winds of ~145 mph, the storm is the equivalent of a Category 4 Atlantic Hurricane.
