RT @WetlandsInt: Wetlands only cover around 6% of Earth's surface, but they support 40% of all known plant and animal species, including several endemic ones. Importantly, #wetlands are critical connecting ecosystems, linking different habitats and facilitating the movement of species, including the global flyways of migratory birds and the swimways of migratory fish. Wetlands are disproportionately important for #biodiversity and need to be high on the #COP16Colombia agenda and at the heart of countries’ plans for delivery of the Global Biodiversity Framework.
