#DidYouKnow that a #SolarEclipse happens when the moon moves between the sun and the Earth, blocking some or all of its light? #Eclipse2024 on April 8 will be a total solar eclipse, where the Moon’s disk completely blocks out the Sun. Its shadow's path will travel through parts of Mexico, the U.S., and eastern Canada. scijinks.gov/solar-eclipse

We’re a month away from #TotalEclipse2024!

During a #SolarEclipse, the moon's shadow traces a path across the Earth, called the path of totality. If you want to experience total darkness during a #TotalEclipse, you have to be within this path.

TGI #FullDiskFriday!

On Earth, a Total #SolarEclipse causes the sky to go dark when the moon crosses directly in front of the sun, but what does it look like from space? Here's an example from @NOAA’s #GOESEast of the 2017 #TotalEclipse.
