Today the redesigned Zefiro-40 solid rocket motor, which serves as the second stage of the #VegaC rocket, was successfully ignited for the second time, completing the qualification tests for the improved engine nozzle design of the Zefiro-40.
While the initial test in May was conducted under high operating pressure with a short burn time, today's test was carried out at a low operating pressure and had a longer burn duration. Today's successful testing signifies that Vega-C is on-track for launch by the end of 2024.

During standard launch preparations, there was a mechanical issue preventing the withdrawal of the mobile gantry and the launch chronology was stopped.
The launcher and its passenger @CopernicusEU #Sentinel1 C satellite are in stable and safe conditions.
