IDF publishes footage showing troops of the Navy's elite Shayetet 13 commando unit retaking the Sufa military post on the Gaza border from Palestinian fighters on Saturday.

The use of the Shayetet 13 in such an operation displays the dire situation that was on the ground that day. Shayetet's role was never intended for such operations.

They will end up encircling Gaza and lob arty inaccurately into the place from conventional 155s for a hot minute. 155s will become prey for UAS/Drone strikes. They're running low on interceptor missiles for the Irone Dome. And they don't have much artillery to spare after western and Israeli stocks were depleted on Ukraine."
