🇺🇸⚡️ — Secretary of State Marco Rubio has invited senior officials from more than 60 countries to a meeting next week focused on what the Trump administration describes as a resurgence of transnational far-left terrorism, with particular attention on Antifa, WaPo reports.

➡️ The initiative has sparked concern among U.S. officials, European allies, and terrorism experts, many of whom argue that Antifa is a decentralized movement rather than a foreign terrorist organization and does not constitute a major international threat.

➡️ White House counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka has discussed whether foreign terrorist designations could be used to target individuals with links to Antifa, a move that officials say could unlock additional investigative tools such as surveillance. Some administration officials have warned that creating such a precedent could later be used by future administrations against conservative activists.

🇺🇦📰🇷🇺 PR War Ramps Up in Ukraine Untangling the latest media web Having faded largely into the constant background noise of the mainstream news cycle in recent months, and having been overshadowed by unprecedented geopolitical events in the Middle East,…
🇺🇦📰🇷🇺 Former Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief, Valery Zaluzhny, warns against buying into the narrative Ukraine is winning because of massive media coverage of disparate strikes on Russian refineries and logistics vehicles

In an article published in the The Telegraph, Zaluzhny, the Ukrainian ambassador to Great Britain, warns against thinking that Ukraine hitting trucks on Russian highways will cause Russia's military position to weaken and sue for peace, Zaluzhny calling it "a dangerous misreading of the war" adding that "it reflects a tendency to interpret events through the lens of individual battlefield successes rather than the wider strategic picture".

He continued:

"Modern warfare no longer rewards tactical victories in the way it once did. Advances in drone technology, precision strike capabilities and surveillance have transformed the battlefield, making decisive breakthroughs extraordinarily difficult for either side.

This is no longer a war of swift manoeuvres. It is a war of attrition.

Every tactical gain now comes at an extraordinary cost. Positions can be taken, but holding them, reinforcing them and evacuating the wounded has become increasingly difficult under constant drone surveillance. Success on the battlefield is measured in metres rather than miles, and often at a price that bears little relation to its strategic value.

The same is true beyond the front line. Ukraine’s increasingly effective strikes against Russian logistics and critical infrastructure have imposed real costs on Moscow. But these attacks are expensive, technologically demanding and ultimately reciprocal. Russia retains the ability to strike back with equal or greater force. Neither side can rely on this form of warfare to produce a decisive strategic outcome".

The ambassador adds that Russia's success rests now on exhausting Ukraine's capacity to defend draining its manpower, its resources, causing shortages of goods and other resources and psychologically trying to break the morale of the Ukrainian people.

Searching for a solution to end the war, Zaluzhny points towards NATO as the only thing capable of defeating Russia through the combined militaries and economies of all its member states. Zaluzhny deplores NATO's "defensive culture" which he calls "stuck in the Cold War" and wants it to become more pro-active than it already is.

🇮🇷🇷🇺🇨🇳 Mackinder's Dread Realized Harold Mackinder wrote in 1904 that the era of European maritime predominance established 400 years earlier was coming to an end. Western naval and colonial powers had previously been able to outflank and dominate the Asian…
🇷🇺🤝🇨🇳 Russia and China jointly search for a solution on how to kill Elon Musk's Starlink

Secret documents from a series of clandestine Russian-Chinese military forums reveal a joint plan to defeat Elon Musk’s Starlink and a weapons development partnership far deeper than either country will admit. From air- and missile-defense systems to AI-enhanced drone capabilities, cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is allowing Russian forces to keep pace with Ukrainian innovations while China gains the opportunity to test its wares under combat conditions. Although the threat of increased Western sanctions continues to place constraints on their “no limits” partnership, Russia and China are moving forward with several joint projects — and former U.S. military officers are concerned about Washington’s will to stop them.

By the fall of 2023, Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet network, had become a primary means of communication on the Ukrainian battlefield. Medics used its terminals to coordinate evacuations, artillery crews to correct their fire, and drone operators to fly in real time. “Starlink is now actually the blood of our entire communications infrastructure,” Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s then-minister of digital transformation and now its defense minister, said that September. As of November, SpaceX had delivered more than 40,000 terminals to Ukraine, and the system had grown so central to the country’s war effort that U.S. officials described it as irreplaceable.

That same month, in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, engineers from China’s most important space and defense institutions gathered for a secret meeting. One of the items on their agenda was how to destroy Starlink, a prized possession in Elon Musk’s expansive business empire, which awkwardly straddles a geopolitical divide. SpaceX is the Pentagon’s most important space contractor, responsible for building and carrying U.S. spy satellites into orbit, while the U.S. government-run Starshield, the hard variant of Starlink, ensures resilient military connectivity. Meanwhile, Tesla, Musk’s electric car company, whose largest factory is in Shanghai, is heavily reliant on Chinese state loans and the indulgence of the Chinese Communist Party.

📝Anon: Biden and Trump's aggressive anti-China policies pushed Moscow and Beijing closer rather than dividing them, making them cooperate in fields both were previously reluctant to such as missile defense and anti-satellite weaponry. Colossal failure of U.S. foreign policy.

Mark Rutte: Let's not speculate on what could happen, because in the end let's not forget what happened on October 7, 2023. The terrible attack by Hamas on Israel. It started not with Israel...

🇲🇽🇺🇸⚡️ — Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum says her government plans to file criminal complaints in the U.S. over the deaths of Mexican citizens in immigration custody or during anti-immigration enforcement operations.

"We cannot turn a blind eye to the Mexicans who have died," Sheinbaum said, adding that the complaints aim to hold those responsible for alleged homicides or human rights violations accountable.

She also said Mexico would continue assisting its citizens, "especially to Mexicans whose only crime is working honestly in the United States."

According to the Mexican government, 14 Mexican nationals have died while in the custody of ICE, while three others were killed during ICE arrest operations.
