📺 These words were said yesterday evening on live television by Ali Rabeh, while arguing against his political opponent Jordan Bardella.

👨🏻‍🦱 Jordan Bardella is the acting president of the main French far-right party, and has recently been indicted for describing the city of Trappes as an “Islamic Republic”.

👨🏽Ali Rabeh is a Muslim of Moroccan background, and the current far-left mayor of Trappes. His city is said to be 70% Muslim, and is infamously known for having been the biggest exporter of soldiers to the Islamic State throughout Europe.

🗣 This isn't the first time far-left politicians voiced such rhetorics: the president of the far-left party, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, often spoke of the "créolisation" of France, créole being a word used to describe the race-mixed demographics in the French colonies.
