Russian-language channel Rybar notes the difference between Telegram replacing traditional media in some countries while telegram and other social media faces increased censorship in the west.

"In the West, if a person expresses his opinion on Facebook and Twitter, and it is different from the narrative, he is simply turned off from the system. Exactly the same thing happens with the telegram: at the level of Google and Apple, there are entire teams operating to identify malicious influencers who scribble denunciations and mass complaints about an unwanted channel to be removed."

Russian-language channel "Старше Эдды" describes Western Telegram as the territory of marginalized segments of the population (flat-earthers, anti-vaxxers, ultra-traditionalists).

He explains that in other countries they enjoy typing long posts on a variety of topics, with thousands of comments under them, discussion of politics, war, the meaning of life, etc. While westerners rely more on images than text.

He then goes on to criticize western content as lacking in content they have to offer and that Russians could provide interesting topics in English to western audiences (probably because western telegram is filled with schizo boomers).

Igor Dimitriev's channel said that Telegram channels are outperforming traditional media in promoting sensitive topics.

His example is that the UAC Corporation invited the authors of "Wings of War" and "FlightMode" (TG channels) to the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. UAC PR people understand that the channel's audience and coverage can be 20 times less than that of the media. But on the other hand, the material is guaranteed to be read by those who are interested and need it, - the very aviation experts who will then come to the media and talk about it.

He also explains that telegram channels can focus on niche subjects for a particular audience and not the general reader.

This is all food for thought. But there are many interesting ideas we can try now that western telegram is no longer a handful of users which it had been for years. This discussion by other channels is somewhat about whether we will see English-speakers on telegram evolve beyond some boomer memes.

I mean, if you take a typical American conservative and show him a video of someone walking their dog, they will accuse both the owner and his dog as being federal agents because the dog is too well groomed.

But these other channels are presenting their community as having the ability to interview interesting figures. They discuss taboo topics, research specific questions etc. And I think it would be interesting if we could do that as well. Western telegram is not only censored but very few activities can be accomplished or discussed because the strongest form of control by a police state is not through surveillance, it is psychological. If everyone is too scared and paranoid they become paralyzed and unable to act or think. External communities are seeing this and want to break the ice a little. They see all of us as acting a bit awkward.

So now is the time to conquer fear and develop into something greater. Be the change you want to see in the world. In order to move mountains you must see the mountains in your life move from your actions and willpower.

French-language channel @actualiteFR is onboard with the idea for more cross-channel discussions between western telegram channels on taboo topics to compete against traditional media.

Maybe, but if they draw the curtains on white people we'll see the answer to whether defense and survival is possible. While there are trends of state violence by proxy against White Americans there are also trends of American civilians becoming defense oriented.
