The outcome of the war in Afghanistan set a major geopolitical precedent for the return of Authoritarianism and the rejection of Enlightenment era humanism. This trend could be seen throughout the 2010's as the outcome of the food prices spawning the Arab spring and the financial crisis of the late 2000's shaking western prosperity. Even now, in the 2020's with western government's using the coronavirus' health crisis to heavily regulate freedom of movement and cling on to power.

These modern liberal-democratic governments have lost their respect originally gained from achieving global hegemonic dominance after the Cold War. Because they are too corrupt, incompetent and morally decrepit. Who cares about so-called "progressive values" if the countries preaching them fall into chaos and ruin? The people cheer on almost anyone at this point that rounds up cronies and throws them in jail. Law and Order has become a universal source of attracting the public attention. The taboos of ideology and international condemnation are losing power they just recently held.

The main tool that the modern corporate state has to challenge the rise of authoritarianism and the probings of hopeful will-to-power egoists, is ironically, authoritarianism. Take for example that American Democrats in many regards recently, fund police more than Republicans and began towing lines of promises for security months after the George Floyd Riots and days after Jan 6th. No matter which slice of polarisation you stand on, there is a great competition between all societal factions to exert control by force. Remember when Libertarians used to be a thing?

In February of this year, the report "Countering Sino-Israeli interaction: a comprehensive strategy for cooperation between the United States and Israel" was published.

Against this background, the behavior of American President Joe Biden at a recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett seems very strange.
