CAD/JPY Analysis
CADJPY breaks above a previous top on the 1D timeframe. Higher lows and highs suggest further moves to the upside as the pair approaches its next level of resistance around 106.580. Additional support lies under support at the rising trend line that started back in May.

Gold Analysis
Gold fell another 1% today on a strong dollar. Price is getting near a support level around $1720s after showing six days of selling in a row. If price can't break higher, we might see the metal test the $1680s again. Investors are confident in the Fed's policies going forward. As the Jackson Hole Symposium approaches, people are pricing in a bullish USD going forward.

SPX500 Analysis
SPX500 falls for the second trading day after coming off its 200 DMA on the 1D timeframe. There is a chance that the market has topped out and risk appetite has gone down. Price is in between strong support and resistance as it comes down to test support. If this breaks, we could see the index come down to test $3986.

SPX500 is now ranked a +4 buy on our market scanner as price rises in premarket. Unemployment claims came in lower than expected which could spark a rally in the index, but heavy resistance still lies in the way. The 200 DMA has already served as a harsh level which price could not break. The stock market is doing abnormally well in the past month than its historical performance which could be partly the cause of good economic news during the summer despite the rise in interest rates.

EURCAD Analysis
EURCAD establishes a lower low on the 4H timeframe suggesting lower moves are ahead for the pair. Price is bouncing on the current 4H candle, but it looks like a stair step pattern is forming. Heavy resistance still lies around 1.29700 where price couldn't break after two tests. Momentum is still strongly to the downside.

XAUUSD Analysis
Gold is down this morning although it has paired some of its losses from last week. Long contracts saw a small increase from last week's number suggesting that gold interest is still here institutionally-wise. The metal crossed above its 200 DMA again and has been able to hold up for several days now. Price has support on the rising trend line should it continue to retrace. However, that trend line could be a good level for gauging long trades.
