Berlin-based startup. They came up with a brand new idea on the German market: to build out a medicine delivery platform in Europe that partners are small-scale pharmacies. They've supported by a $34M(!!!)SeriesAfunding round

This is a people management role with a minimal amount of hands-on coding; you will lead a cross-functional team of 4-7 people, taking full ownership of the implementation of one of our products.

MISSION

Taking ownership of the end-to-end implementation of one of our products with the clear goal of making each IT delivery a success story
Leading a cross-functional team, consisting of developers (BE/FE/Mobile), a QA, and a PM
You will strike a delicate balance between shipping features fast and making sure that your developers are not overwhelmed
Coach, mentor, and further develop engineers on your team; be open and empathetic with continuous feedback to your team
You help to collaboratively set up development processes (sprints, code reviews, communication processes) and ensure that the team sticks to them
Work with other teams across the department to identify and build on improvements to our processes and systems
Grow your team by making hiring decisions, onboarding new members and planning capacity

REQUIREMENTS

Ideally, 6+ years in software development with 2+ years in leadership roles (teams of 3+ developers)
You love people, you are a “caring leader”, you value communication and teamwork as much as a clean code and beautiful architecture
You hate to micro-manage people, you know how to delegate and prioritize
You follow technology trends and you can explain which tools (e.g. languages, frameworks, approaches) are best for different use cases
You want to have a helicopter view, are not afraid to dive deep into the codebase to figure out how everything works
You are not afraid to take decisions, you are proactive
Well structured and organized, good communicator with SOLID English skills (<span class=<span class=😉" class="emoji">" class="emoji">)
Nice-to-haves: full-stack experience (so you understand the problems BE and FE engineers are dealing with); experience managing cross-functional teams in an agile environment; commercial experience with tools from our stack (Node.js, Vue.js, Swift, Kotlin, AWS)
