I'll tell you what's pointless. The chap I see in one of my gyms who cycles to the premises, only to use a cycle machine before buggering off on his bike. Like running, if the only reason you attend a gym is to cycle when the world is so beautiful, you're wasting your life. Unless, of course, you're a woman, and it's early or late, what with today's crime issues. If you don't need the equipment, don't waste any more of your life in windowless box rooms than you have to. 🤝

This illustration depicts the view of the Old General Post Office on the east side of St Martin's le Grand, St Paul's Cathedral, Bull and Mouth Inn, and #Aldersgate, one of the northern gates surrounding the "City of #London", 1829. I can not help but notice how much more presentable the citizens and the surroundings appear than in modern times.
