London is #England's, and therefore, (whether you'll admit it or not) #Britians capital. If the democratic process was real, the entire nation and the population of #Scotland, #Wales, and #NorthernIreland should have a say on who has the right to be the #MayorOfLondon.

I am young, yet old enough to be among the last of our generations that didn't need a phone to know who'd be at the pub. When pubs let us in at 17 because we genuinely had nothing else to do. Conversation, togetherness, and the prospect of action were our be-all and end all.

Much of #Europe is unfathomably stunning. Yet, thanks to propaganda, young people and fully grown adults alike think it's "cool" to visit characterless, modernistic cities in places like #Dubai, just to pose for generic, bland pictures that look tacky and unmemorable.

Isn't it strange that many of the places that were once some of the poorest in Europe are now some of the most beautiful simply because they've been left alone.

I'll tell you what's pointless. The chap I see in one of my gyms who cycles to the premises, only to use a cycle machine before buggering off on his bike. Like running, if the only reason you attend a gym is to cycle when the world is so beautiful, you're wasting your life. Unless, of course, you're a woman, and it's early or late, what with today's crime issues. If you don't need the equipment, don't waste any more of your life in windowless box rooms than you have to. 🤝

This illustration depicts the view of the Old General Post Office on the east side of St Martin's le Grand, St Paul's Cathedral, Bull and Mouth Inn, and #Aldersgate, one of the northern gates surrounding the "City of #London", 1829. I can not help but notice how much more presentable the citizens and the surroundings appear than in modern times. Change is necessary for some things, but change for the sake of change tends to do more damage than good.

From generation to generation, British people have become so used to laughing off our problems that we've become the butt of everyone else's joke.

It's amazing what one person can achieve when they've not been led to believe that they need a phone or a computer to do so. 🌷
