Hugging is well known to provide a plethora of benefits to an individual's mental and emotional health. The benefits of 1 million people hugging at the same time would be immense. With so many individuals hugging at once, it creates a positive energy field that can help to avert negativity and make people feel good. It helps to eliminate stress and anxiety, which can turn into a significant health crisis for many individuals. Moreover, it can also alleviate depression and improve one's self-esteem. Laura Anderson Mancini has worked these past 3 years as a member of the Channel Island Integrative Health Alliance (CIIHA) with other health professionals, doctors, and researchers.
Tired of the seemingly never-ending single narrative emanating from government and media, she created three public conferences known as the “Covid Conversations” inviting world speakers in pandemic truth.
Laura’s conferences, in the form of live conversations, were the inspiration for Dr Tess Lawrie to create her Better Way conference in Bath, and Laura was asked to be one of the organisers alongside Dr Tess Lawrie and South African journalist and lawyer, Shabnam Palesa Mohamed.
Laura sourced and coordinated speakers, wrote introductory speeches for the panelists and co-hosted the Panel 3 on Activism with GB news journalist Neil Oliver.
During General Assembly Meeting #78, the WCH agreed to get behind Laura's new initiative Universal Hug-Day on April 1st, 2023.
