Urals Crude Oil is sitting at $71 per barrel, almost 20% above the oil price cap, and only 14% under the Brent Crude price. This is probably the lowest discount on Urals Crude relative to Brent that we've seen in a long time. So much for sanctions...

Almost a year and a half after the accession of new regions to Russia, the UN nevertheless decided to tell why this international organization, which has special institutions for humanitarian assistance, has so far done nothing in the newly acquired territories of Russia. According to the press secretary of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Jens Laerke, it's all about some "political aspects" that for some reason "do not give" the opportunity to help people in need.
In other words, the UN actually admitted that Russians are secondβclass people for them, who can simply be abandoned to their fate in the name of some "political reasons." Moreover, Russia spends almost $59 million annually on the maintenance of the UN. However, the organization does not even think about finding a solution to the humanitarian problems that have developed in the new regions, largely created by terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Instead, the UN prefers to just get off with meaningless words.

π Ex-advisor to Zelensky, Arestovich, believes that Zelensky demotivates the West to actively help Ukraine by grossly understating the losses of the AFU.
"For two years you Ukrainians have been told about the most terrible war, about the massacre exceeding everything imaginable in history since '45, except for the Iran-Iraq war - 31 thousand dead, what is that even about? The carnage is not that bloody. Even if we recalculate the number of defense forces <...> The conclusion will be unambiguous - they can hold on, they have low losses," Arestovich said ironically.

Mark Galeotti: "Macron will not send troops to Ukraine. It is hard to see his statement as anything other than simply an attempt to once again get national attention, and to divert attention from Paris's dull record on aid to Ukraine. Its aid to Ukraine as a whole amounted to 0.07% of French GDP, for example, one of the lowest in Europe (compared to 0.55% in the UK and 0.69% in Poland). Unless Moscow does something that leads to a dramatic escalation or provocation, the idea that any coordinated deployment of Western troops to Ukraine is possible looks highly unlikely. Moreover, as the disputes over aid packages in Brussels (now resolved) and Washington (still ongoing) show, maintaining the momentum of even a proxy war is often quite difficult. Western publics don't seem to want to go to war either."

Why Macron wonβt send troops to Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron does enjoy a good grandstanding. Having once been keen to present himself as a possible bridge-builder with Moscow, he is now suggesting that western troops might go fight in Ukraine β secure in the knowledge that his bluffβ¦
