Here’s a roundup of the ecosystem’s most exciting news from the past seven days.

Network stats update:

— The number of new accounts created on TON from May 22 to 28 grew from 614,883 to 644,817 (+4.9%).

News:

— TON Grant and Sponsorship programs were launched to support founders, builders, and community developers.

— Tonvalidators.org launched. It’s a catalog of decentralized staking pools where TON blockchain users can deposit their Toncoin.

— Crypto exchange MEXC hosted a trading contest for Toncoin holders with a total prize fund of 6,165 Toncoin.

— The remaining TON will be mined in 18 days. There’s now a timer counting down the days in the TON Apps suite.

— The Community Manager contest is still ongoing.

— Crypto exchange Bit.com launched a limited-time offer: Toncoin holders can deposit their tokens and earn 200% APY.

— Asian institutional custody platform Matrixport added support for the TON blockchain.

— Matrixport also launched flexible Toncoin staking: Tokenholders can make deposits and earn 5%–12% APY.

Technical maintenance on the OKX crypto exchange.

We must inform you that at the moment, Toncoin withdrawals from the OKX crypto exchange are unavailable.

The problem is related to technical issues on the exchange, along with a transition to a new mechanism of sending cryptocurrencies.

OKX employees have reached out to the TON Foundation for additional help to solve this problem. Right now, a team comprising specialists from both sides is all hands on deck to rectify this technical issue as soon as possible.

OKX does not have a set timetable, but we believe the issue will be resolved in the next few days. We’ll notify you as soon as there are new developments.

However, Toncoin deposits are operating as usual.

NFTs in Tonkeeper

Today, Tonkeeper unveiled a new update that includes comprehensive support for nonfungible tokens (NFT) on TON.

Now all NFTs can be viewed in a separate tab, and users can conduct transactions right from the app: transferring NFTs via links and QR codes and trading them using the Getgems marketplace.

TON Connect also received an update. It now allows users to log in to Tonkeeper and link NFTs to third-party services.

Simply put, the updated Tonkeeper 2.3 offers a full-featured, intuitive interface providing easy interaction with NFTs.

​Depositing Toncoin safely onto crypto exchanges.

We’ve noticed that some users have had trouble depositing Toncoin onto different crypto exchanges and want to bring your attention to a critical moment when depositing Toncoin:

Don’t forget the MEMO.

A memo (or sometimes called a “tag”) is a comment attached to a crypto transaction that is necessary to ensure the successful transfer of funds.

It’s common for crypto exchanges to require deposits with a short text or line of digits as a memo.

We kindly ask you to be attentive. If you want to deposit Toncoin on an exchange that requires a memo, you must enter the memo when sending tokens from your wallet.

Otherwise, you risk losing your Toncoin forever.

For example, we’d like to note that crypto exchanges MEXC, Bit.com, Matrixport, and DigiFinex — all of which are in the middle of hosting special Toncoin events — require to enter a memo when depositing Toncoin.

The Open Network’s official website has a new section called “Where to buy Toncoin,” where you can find the most common ways to buy the token.

​NFT contest on Getgems.

NFT marketplace Getgems and crypto wallet app Tonkeeper are launching a collaborative event, giving away rare NFTs from popular collections based on TON.

To participate in the giveaway, you have to complete the following steps:

1. Open the @GetgemsNftBot Telegram bot.
2. Send your Tonkeeper wallet address to the bot.
3. Subscribe to Getgems’ official Telegram channel and await contest results.

On June 8, you’ll receive an NFT representing a ticket to participate in the event.

For one month, ticketholders will be eligible for four events (listed below). A winner will be randomly chosen for each event (round) and receive an NFT from a popular collection.

1st round: G-Bots
2nd round: Rich Cats
3rd round: Animals Red List
4th round: TON Punks

The giveaway event will also see participation from Tegro Dog, TON Doodles, TON Ducks, and Mutant Toadz, which are giving away NFTs as well.

Please note that you only need one NFT ticket to participate in all four events. You don’t need additional tickets.

Scam attempts in NFT market

Recently more and more users face scammers while trying to buy NFTs, especially during presales that are held in Telegram bots. Here are some tips on how not to lose your money.

1. Check if the dialogue is real

Scammers often create personal accounts that look similar to the real channels or bots, it can have a similar profile image and description, but their username ID is different or missing. Scammers can add some additional characters there. Make sure whether it is a real channel or bot by searching this „channel“ name in Telegram. If it duplicates with other channels, it is definitely a scam. And don’t forget to scroll messages in the dialogue to ensure if there are posts from another date.

2. Don’t trust the very, very last presales and low prices at first sight

Regularly scammers try to manipulate you due to lack of time. They usually write things like “It’s a last chance to get NFT for such a low price!” or something like that. In a hurry, you can forget to check if the offer is real. Don’t do it! Of course, even the real NFT collections can offer very low prices one day, however, don’t forget to spend a few seconds to verify such discounts.

3. Checking out NFT’s collection wallet

Generally, scammers post the address of their TON wallet, and it is a great chance to check if it is a real account or not. Large collections that have already made presales will have a lot of TON on their wallets. You can check it by entering the address in any explorer, for example, Tonscan.

​Presenting @mobile — The newest product in the TON ecosystem.

@mobile (TonMobile) is a virtual phone number service that allows users to use an e-sim card in 58 countries, with payments made in Toncoin.

The service can also launch a VPN, but, in general, everything offered will come in handy for travelers because they’ll be able to get virtual SIM cards without having to go to a service provider’s shop or stand.

Once they enter one of the 58 supported countries, users can access an e-SIM and mobile internet with just a few clicks — with no ID or passport information required.

What’s more, @mobile plans to make improvements shortly: Prices for the service will decrease, and the list of supported countries will grow.

We’re pleased to see how services from various industries are developing interest in Toncoin for their process. We wish the TonMobile team all the best.

​Round 1 results for the TON Community Manager Contest.

Round 1 of the Community Manager Contest, which launched about a month ago, is now over.

Today, we’re posting the results of the first round. After everything was said and done, the jury declared seven winners, who will split a prize pool of 6,000 Toncoin.

We’d like to note that there were a few contestants who displayed high levels of enthusiasm and creativity while completing their tasks. This is the kind of passion we are looking for, so we’re going to reward these specific users with a TON NFT from popular collections.

​Ellen Sheidlin will launch her first NFT collection on the TON blockchain.

Famous blogger and conceptual artist Ellen Sheidlin, who has 4.4 million subscribers on Instagram, is going to create an NFT collection of avatars and launch it on The Open Network.

The artist plans to release a small yet exclusive collection.

Ellen Sheidlin is a world-renowned creator.

Her work has graced exhibitions in France, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom, and she’s won prestigious awards throughout her career.

The artist has created work for brands, such as Nike, Estée Lauder, Moncler, Bacardi, BMW, Instagram, Schwarzkopf, L’Oréal, and Coca-Cola, and has collaborated with musical group Little Big.

Many of our subscribers are most likely familiar with Ellen because some of her work has gone viral and, in turn, garnered lots of views and attention.

We’re happy to inform you that Toncoin withdrawals are back up and running on the OKX crypto exchange.

Tonhub announces token builder feature

Whales Corp (Tonhub mobile wallet developers) announced the launch of a token builder based in its app that will allow Tonhub users to create their own crypto tokens in just a few clicks.

Now the token builder is available in a closed beta version, but it will be launched publicly soon. Creating your own token will take you just a couple of minutes. You will need to log in to the TonWhales website via the Tonhub wallet, сome up with a name for your token, and send the required number of tokens to your address. So, there’s no more need to call for developers’ help to create your own token on TON.

The launch of a DEX, recently announced by Whales Corp, will enable easy and fast trading of any custom token among all members of the TON ecosystem.

According to Whales Corp, the token builder will only be available to Whales Club members.

​Paid subscriptions in Toncoin on Telegram.

We’re going to publish a series of posts on products that are integrated with Toncoin, and today, we want to tell you about the @donate service, an official partner of The Open Network.

@donate is a Telegram-verified payments service that allows content creators to host private channels with paid subscriptions and collect donations.

Currently, over 3,000 Telegram communities and channels work with the @donate bot.

@donate has two main functions:

1. Create a button on a channel to collect donations.
2. Enable recurring subscription payments on private channels.

Recurring payments is a convenient function that takes care of payments automatically for users. The @donate bot charges your account once per payment period, helping avoid manually making a payment every month manually.

@donate has one of the lowest commission fees on the market: no more than 5% per payment.

The bot also accepts payments in Toncoin and has a rewards program for creators who work with The Open Network’s native cryptocurrency.

Without a doubt, @donate is all-in on the future growth of TON and its thousands of users. We hope that the team can make these goals come to fruition.

​TON-based gaming.

Game development requires a substantial amount of time and resources — more than creating art. Therefore, the GameFi sector on The Open Network has yet to gain the same level of popularity as some NFT collections.

TON-based gaming has been under active development, nonetheless, and in the next few months, we can expect a lot of games currently prepping for a release to launch on TON.

Today, we’re going to introduce you to a few of them.

Grabscape

Grabscape is a play-to-earn card game under development that allows players to earn Toncoin while playing.

The game’s mechanic works as follows: Users obtain NFT playing cards with images of “Grabses” (anthropomorphic rats) and send them to mine the project’s tokens, which can be traded for Toncoin.

To farm tokens, players need to complete various tasks — e.g., “Like” Grabses of other players or participate in battles.

G-Bots Game

G-Bots Game is a battle royal mobile game where players fight one another in a player-versus-player arena.

Owners of G-Bots NFTs will be able to log in to the game with their wallets and play with their NFT robots.

What’s interesting about this game is that it’s one of the few games on TON that has a working prototype where you can play and participate in its testing phase.

The beta version is available on smartphones iOS (Testflight) and Android (APK file).

Rich Cats

This is the first-ever customizable NFT game tailored for Telegram, a fascinating project that rose from the RuTON channel.

Rich Cats probably cannot be considered a game in the traditional sense; however, the project has an entertaining mechanic: Rich Cats NFT holders can alter the appearance of their NFT characters by buying clothes and accessories.

What’s more, the TON blockchain is the only network where such a function could be realized thanks to the NFTEditable extension.

Moreover, holders of these unique NFTs can show them off by using them as an avatar. The NFTs will also be integrated into RuTON services and Tonscan.org.

Citizens of Taiwan can now buy Toncoin with the local currency, TWD.

The TON project continues to expand its geography: BitoPro, a popular crypto platform in Taiwan — where 80% of the island’s crypto activity happens — has listed Toncoin.

Moreover, the TON Foundation is in partnership talks with O2 Meta, BitoPro’s metaverse project.

The exchange is officially registered and adheres to the local laws, enabling over 800,000 users to buy cryptocurrency with fiat currency.

BitoPro is partners with the FamilyMart chain and provides shoppers with more than 3,000 stores where they can buy crypto for cash.

BitoPro also has partnered with large companies, such as CoinGecko, Dow Jones, JOYSO, Mifengcha, BitUniverse, and others. In 2017, it entered the top 10 companies in the Asia-Pacific region for offering the best payments solutions.
