TON’s path to decentralization: Society DAO

Talk is easy, action is hard, and no more so than in experimenting true decentralization to Web3! 

Decentralization has always been a key tenet of Web3’s vision. However, current centralized governance models in blockchain ecosystems mean that capital and resources — financial, social, human, and political — accumulate around the foundation, making it difficult for projects to succeed without its official support.

That is why The Open Network Foundation is committing to this head on by introducing Society DAO — a new community-driven governance model to boost decentralization and empower TON’s growing ecosystem. Society DAO is the answer to these challenges by democratizing access to capital and resource allocation. Under this new model, we redistribute resource allocation power, empowering trusted community members to set vision, goals, and strategies in alignment with TON's overall growth. 

The founding members of Society DAO will include TON Core, TON Studio, Wallet in Telegram, and TON Society — teams that have been independently aligned with TON’s mission. 

Society DAO will position the TON community on the right trajectory to become more competitive, decentralized, and resilient. Together, we can drive meaningful change and put crypto in every pocket.

Results of the Degen airdrop, DeFi League and NFT League!

Over the past four weeks, the Degen airdrop, DeFi League, and NFT League have seen impressive engagement. A huge thank you to all the participants in the airdrop campaign — check your Degen score and rewards on the leaderboards:

In the spirit of fair play we want to give the community an opportunity to flag discrepancies. Therefore, we have created this open form to submit reports. 

If you think your reward size is incorrect and have clear proof of it, you have till November 5th 23:59 UTC to fill out the report form. Applications without proof will not be processed. The rewards will be distributed this week after checking all relevant reports.

Arkham now supports on-chain data for TON network. Through Arkham, TON users can:

Tonhub Launches Visa Debit Card for Its Users

Tonhub has launched a Visa debit card for its users, allowing them to make direct payments from their TON or USDt balances. 

The card can be applied for within their app, and features:

▪️an intuitive KYC process 
▪️minimal fees of 1.5% per transaction

Additionally, it supports global payments, including SEPA and SWIFT transfers as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. 

Currently available only to users with a European ID, Tonhub plans to expand access to CIS countries, Latin America, and the Middle East by 2025, and integrate with other wallets like TrustWallet and Tonkeeper.
