Matthew 23:4 βFor they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers."
π Donβt be a Pharisee condemning fellow believers because they donβt do things the way you do them. You arenβt better than others because they donβt dress like you or serve in church like you. βYOUβ do not decide the standard, God does, and every believer has the Holy Spirit working in them.

"Neither the expression "invisible church" nor the idea of such an expression can be found in the New Testament.
The whole purpose of the "invisible church" dogma is to justify the Protestant splits from Roman Catholicism. But since Baptists are not Protestants and were never a part of the heretical Catholic system, we have no need of any such dogma to justify our existence.
Most Protestants and many ignorant Baptists suppose that Christ built two churches; that is, two kinds of churches: the "invisible church" of their own vain imagining and the organized assemblies that they cannot help recognizing in the New Testament. Then, to add insult to injury, they call their imaginary monstrosity the "true" church! But the Bible says there is only one body (church), that is, one kind of body, just as there is only one baptism, that is, one kind of baptism [Ephesians 4:4-5].
Since there is no just reason to do otherwise, we must understand that Jesus used the word, "church" in Matthew 16:18 in the same general sense that it has everywhere else in the New Testament: that is, an assembly, almost always an organized assembly. The word here is used abstractly; that is, it expresses an idea whose realization is to be found in a particular organized assembly." - Rosco Brong

ποΈ βSanctificationβ for the believer is a process of being set apart for the Lord. It begins the moment we are saved and is completed when the Lord returns and we receive our glorification.
This is not done all at one time but rather from grace to grace. John 1:16, "And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace." It is done from faith to faith." Romans 1:17, "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." It is done from glory to glory. II Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." - Jack Hyles
However, many believers will resist this process and quench the Holy Spirit, and grieve Him with disobedience, rebellion, and sin. God will discipline and chastise those that do (Hebrews 12:4-11).
1 Thessalonians 5:19: "Quench not the Spirit."
Ephesians 4:30: "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

St Patrickβs day is March 17th, and most people donβt know this, but the real Patrick had nothing to do with the Catholic pagan Church of Rome. In fact, Patrick was Baptist in faith and practice, and preached the same biblical gospel that we believe today.
Patrick wrote,
βOf the Lord is salvation;
Christ is salvation;
With us ever be
Thy salvation, O Lord!β
Sure sounds like faith alone and eternal security eh?
"Rome's most audacious theft was when she seized bodily the Apostle Peter and made him the putative head and founder of her system; but next to that brazen act stands her effrontery when she 'annexed' the great missionary preacher of Ireland and enrolled him among her saints" - A Short History of the Baptists [1907], Henry C. Vedder

One of the biggest giveaways that someone is entirely ignorant of Scripture is when they (partially) quote James 2:19 as an attempted refutation of salvation by faith alone that the Bible teaches plainly.
James 2:19: Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Thereβs no verse in the Bible that says devils are trusting in Christ alone to save them; what you have here is just the intellectual acknowledgment that there is one God. Muslims acknowledge the same thing (they obviously have a false βgodβ), but nobody thinks they are going to heaven because of that.

People have this false idea that certain sins will cause a loss of salvation and thatβs the only option.
The Bible never once talks about a loss of salvation.
πΉIn fact, it points out the smallest good deed that somebody could do would be rewarded.
πΉDisobedience to God can result in a loss of rewards, as well as earthly punishment just as a father disciplines his children for misbehaving.
Mark 9:41: "For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."
Missing out on reward for good deeds is possible and is a serious thing.
Luke 6:35: "But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil."
Loving others isnβt part of salvation, but is for obedience which God will greatly reward us for!
πΆ Read 1 Corinthians 11:27-32 for examples of earthly punishment. Not a thing to be taken lightly!!
1 Corinthians 11:32: "But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."
