LA City Council to vote on ordinance that would FORCE hotels to house homeless people alongside guests daily. The hotels would be expected to let the city know each day by 2pm how many unoccupied rooms are available so they can house homeless each night. Sounds like an absolute disaster in the making. What’s next? Will they force residents like you and I to take a homeless person in if we have a spare room in our house or apartment? My message to the city and county: Stop meddling in private business, you’ve done enough damage over the last 2.5 years with all the Covid shutdowns and restrictions. The best thing the city and county can do is leave business owners alone, let us all recover and get back to normal or we’re all gonna be homeless.
