No delusions. One State, Palestine: The only solution.

Even if a more "moderate" Israel were to hypothetically accept negotiations for a two-state solution following Al-Aqsa Flood, they would lead nowhere.

These lessons have been learned from the failed Oslo Accords.

The occupation's expansionist nature shows us that it would not accept to shrink. How would it accept to withdraw from the occupied West Bank, let alone the occupied Syrian Golan Heights?

In its 2017 charter, Hamas' acceptance of a state along the '1967' borders comes with a demand for a "return of the refugees and the displaced to their homes from which they were expelled."

Their return would spell Israel's downfall – as the 'Jewish state' would cease to be majority-Jewish.

That's aside from the fact that armed settlers would spark a civil war in the West Bank upon the request to leave.

When Hamas says it accepts a sovereign Palestinian state along the '67 borders, all it is doing is throwing the ball in Israel's court.
