Here's how fast USB-C ports work on iPad and Mac ahead of iPhone 15.
In November 2022, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the USB-C port on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will support at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 specifications for data transfer rates up to 20 or 40 Gbps. The USB-C port on the base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will continue to support USB 2.0 speeds up to 480 Mbps, Kuo said, which is the same as Lightning speed on existing iPhones.
