Nobody in the White House, including Trump, wants to see people getting hurt or killed in America's streets.

This includes Renee Good, Alex Pretti, the brave men and women of federal law enforcement, and the many Americans who have been victimized at the hands of illegal alien criminals.

Let's be clear about the circumstances which led to that moment on Saturday.

Hamas worked very hard to get the body back. They were working with Israel on it. You can imagine how hard it was.

Nobody believed we would bring back all the hostages. It was a great moment.

Now we have to disarm Hamas like they promised.

We will continue to stand firm against any threat from Iran. Any attempt by Iran to harm us will be met with a decisive response.

It would be a very grave mistake — one mistake too many.

There was the belief that if we choose the right words, avoid offense, and wrap everything in political correctness, antisemitism would gradually fade away. It did not. It grew stronger, louder, and far more violent.
