Starting on February 1st, 2026, all of the above mentioned Countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland), will be charged a 10% Tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States of America.

On June 1st, 2026, the Tariff will be increased to 25%.

This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.

It’s time to look for new leadership in Iran.

The man (Khamenei) is a sick man who should run his country properly and stop killing people.

His country is the worst place to live anywhere in the world because of poor leadership.

What he is guilty of, as the leader of a country, is the complete destruction of the country and the use of violence at levels never seen before.

In order to keep the country functioning — even though that function is a very low level — the leadership should focus on running his country properly, like I do with the United States, and not killing people by the thousands in order to keep control.

Leadership is about respect, not fear and death.

France is committed to the sovereignty and independence of nations, in Europe and elsewhere. This principle guides our choices. It underpins our commitment to the United Nations and its Charter.

It is also for this reason that we decided to join the exercise initiated by Denmark in Greenland. We stand by this decision.

This is also because the security of the Arctic and the borders of our Europe is at stake.

No intimidation or threat can influence us, neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world when we are confronted with such situations.

Tariff threats are unacceptable and have no place in this context.

Europeans will respond in a united and coordinated manner if they are confirmed. We will ensure respect for European sovereignty.

It is in this spirit that I will speak with our European partners.

The attack [against Iran] will happen, it's only a matter of time.

The United States is preparing for action.

We will not let ourselves be blackmailed. Only Denmark and Greenland decide on issues concerning Denmark and Greenland.

I will always stand up for my country, and for our allied neighbors.

This is an EU issue that affects many more countries than those now being singled out.

Sweden is now having intensive discussions with other EU countries, Norway, and the United Kingdom for a coordinated response.

I don't foresee military intervention in Greenland. I think diplomatic channels is the way to go. I think the president's appointment of an envoy recognizes that.

I noted that the UK and some of our native allies have people there now.

Maybe that was the point: that all of our friends and allies around the world have recognized the importance of that geography and that placement, and hopefully we can all work on that together.

The president is playing chess, as we say, so we'll see. I don't know.

President Trump’s statement comes as a surprise.

Earlier this week, we had a constructive meeting with Vice President Vance and Secretary Rubio.

The purpose of the increased military presence in Greenland, to which the President refers, is to enhance security in the Arctic.

We agree with the US that we need to do more since the Arctic is no longer a low tension area.

That’s exactly why we and NATO partners are stepping up in full transparency with our American allies.

The EU stands in full solidarity with Denmark and the people of Greenland.

Tariffs would undermine transatlantic relations and risk a dangerous downward spiral.

Europe will remain united, coordinated, and committed to upholding its sovereignty.

Trump is raising tariffs on 8 NATO allies because they rightly support Denmark's sovereignty in Greenland.

Destroying our closest alliances to take Greenland — which Denmark lets us use freely already — is insane. Congress must say NO.
