Проект GCC отказался принимать значимые фрагменты кода, созданные нейросетями

Управляющий комитет GNU Compiler Collection утвердил правила использования больших языковых моделей при разработке компилятора. Согласно официальному объявлению, проект пока будет отклонять все «юридически значимые» изменения, содержащие созданный LLM код или основанные на результатах работы LLM. Решение было опубликовано 29 июля 2026 года.
Под «юридически значимыми» подразумеваются достаточно самостоятельные и оригинальные фрагменты, на которые потенциально распространяется авторское право. Таким образом, запрет касается не только полностью сгенерированных патчей: простого редактирования или частичной переработки ответа нейросети человеком недостаточно, если итоговое изменение всё ещё основано на созданном моделью содержимом. Судя по формулировкам документа, разработчиков беспокоит прежде всего происхождение кода и возможность законно распространять его в составе GCC, а не только качество сгенерированных решений.

Microsoft is ending enterprise Microsoft Whiteboard migrations on August 22, 2026, leaving organizations only a short window to move legacy boards. Unmigrated whiteboards will be permanently deleted after September 5, while the standalone Windows 11 and mobile apps will lose support on September 14.

Компания Google опубликовала релиз web-браузера Chrome 151. Одновременно доступен стабильный выпуск свободного проекта Chromium, выступающего основой Chrome. Браузер Chrome отличается от Chromium использованием логотипов Google, наличием системы отправки уведомлений в случае краха, модулями для воспроизведения защищённого от копирования видеоконтента (DRM), системой автоматической установки обновлений, постоянным включением Sandbox-изоляции, поставкой ключей к Google API и передачей RLZ-параметров при поиске. Для тех, кому необходимо больше времени на обновление, отдельно поддерживается ветка Extended Stable, сопровождаемая 8 недель. Следующий выпуск Chrome 152 запланирован на 25 августа.

Правила предписывают не принимать юридически значимые изменения в коде или тексте, сгенерированные при помощи AI или производные от контента, созданного через AI. Юридически значимыми признаются наработки, насчитывающие более 15 строк. Запрет объясняется неопределённостью в вопросах лицензий и авторских прав на результат, сгенерированный большими языковыми моделями.

‍COSMIC Epoch 1.5

Компания System76 представила COSMIC Epoch 1.5 — очередное обновление написанного на Rust рабочего окружения для Linux. Выпуск состоялся 29 июля 2026 года, всего через неделю после COSMIC Epoch 1.4, и сосредоточен преимущественно на исправлении ошибок, повышении стабильности композитора и доработке недавно появившегося эффекта матового стекла.
В композиторе cosmic-comp добавлено обходное решение для исправления отображения приложений на базе Chromium, они некорректно отображались при дробном масштабе меньше 100%. Улучшено восстановление после сброса графического процессора: теперь COSMIC не должен аварийно завершаться, если после сброса GPU не удалось сразу создать новый модуль визуализации. Также исправлены взаимная блокировка D-Bus в средстве контроля специальных клавиш, переключение фокуса окон X11 и положение указателя у границ экрана. (полный список изменений)
