Microsoft begins permanent fix for Windows 11 inpoutx64.sys gaming crashes

Microsoft has begun rolling out a permanent fix for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 systems where the KB5121003 update conflicted with the inpoutx64.sys driver and caused crashes, freezes, and game launch failures. The problem, previously linked to Windows 11’s inpoutx64.sys driver conflict, affected titles including ARC Raiders, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and The Finals.

OpenAI’s hidden GenUI system keeps ChatGPT widgets running after answers

OpenAI’s Codex desktop client contains an undocumented GenUI system that can keep parts of a ChatGPT response active after the text appears. The code supports server-directed refreshes for individual widgets and includes 467 versioned “Learning Blocks,” suggesting OpenAI is building a controlled interface layer for interactive calculations, simulations, charts and guided tasks.

📰 Fedora + Tuned-PPD Performance Regression Should Be Fixed With New Linux Kernel

Earlier this month when benchmarking six Linux distributions on the new Framework Laptop 13 Pro powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 "Panther Lake", the performance was strangely slow on Fedora Workstation 44. When digging further into it, the performance loss was with Fedora 44 using Tuned-PPD by default where as other Linux distributions default to Power Profiles Daemon.
