It is also the final monthly release of Firefox before the browser switches to a faster, twice-monthly release schedule. Copilot tricked into revealing a one-click data theft flaw

Microsoft Copilot Personal exposed an undocumented URL mechanism that researchers used to run attacker-supplied prompts without user confirmation. The CoSnitch attack could turn a single phishing link, QR code, or message into a way to search connected mail and files, exfiltrate sensitive data, and alter Copilot’s stored memory.

Alternative to WMIC: PowerShell Get-CimInstance

KB5120998 in the Windows 11 Release Preview channel removes the Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) utility from Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2. With this update, WMIC is gone from those builds, and you cannot add it back. Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), the service that exposes hardware and operating system data, remains in Windows. Microsoft's documented replacement for typical wmic queries is the PowerShell cmdlet Get-CimInstance.

Разработчики языка программирования Mojo открыли исходный код компилятора и сопутствующего инструментария, необходимого для сборки проектов на языке Mojo. Код открыт под лицензией Apache 2.0 c исключениями от проекта LLVM, допускающими смешивание с кодом под лицензией GPLv2. Ранее в открытом доступе находился только код стандартной библиотеки, а код компилятора обещали открыть после стабилизации внутренней архитектуры, что было достигнуто в опубликованном на прошлой неделе релизе Mojo 1.0. Изменения от сторонних участников в кодовую базу компилятора пока не принимаются, но возможность передачи изменений планируют реализовать до конца года.
