TANGIBLE WAVES - AE MODULAR
The philosophy, behind the AE modules (which is standing for "Abused Electronics") is, that the "core circuits" aren't, really, expensiv and that the costs can be lowered, by using different solutions, like:
° Jack - plugs are replaced by pin - wires and pin - sockets.
° Knobs are eliminated, just turn the pot - shaft.
° Panels are rubber - stamped.
The result is, that, most of the modules, can be buyed, by a price around 20€ - 35€!
The modules are not in euro - rack format (adapter are available) and they don't use the 1 volt per octave - standard. Tangible Waves will build, a module, which is using, this standard. But the basic "Master I/O" - module, gives you a MIDI - input and the possibility, for interfacing, with your euro - rack system.
