I've re-discovered the bliss of listening to music on headphones. I almost exclusively use my phone for content consumption, with the exception of my 4K projector and 7.1ch surround sound, or my car. Both are very good sounding systems to be fair.

Since my phone is high end, it doesn't have a headphones jack. My nighttime youtube watching has been over the phone speaker ever since I downgraded to my pixel 6 "pro" quite a while ago.

I've finally found a "Y" cable that gets me my headphones jack back while still allowing me to charge the damn thing at the same time, and although its dac/amp can't touch my old 200$ xiaomi phone, it's better than the phone's original config of "fuck you"

I've been toying with the idea of making a phone case with a charge/3.5mm jack integrated, but I never got around to it. Mostly because I'd have to design some sort of mux that lets the phone act as a slave for USB file transfer or a host for audio, depending on what's connected. Too much work.
