Stonfiers, three years ago — on November 20, 2022 — we launched a simple AMM protocol with one jetton and one mission: make DeFi on TON feel natural.

Stonbassadors: October Digest

Stonfiers, October highlighted how strong and diverse our Stonbassadors community has become. You created, experimented, shared knowledge, supported each other, and filled the month with meaning, style, and active conversations.

✈️ This month, Stonbassadors creators received 14,209 STON (~$6,609) from the main reward pool. A total of 579 ambassadors earned rewards up to 600 STON, depending on their individual contribution.

✈️ Throughout October, we held three special contests in the ambassador channel. The most active creators received extra prizes for content across different formats — from tweets and Telegram posts to educational articles and videos.

Stonfiers, what a week! We celebrated three years of building TON DeFi, wrapped our DAO testing phase, powered new collaborations, and kept pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Here's everything that happened:

1️⃣ Three years of STON.fi! On November 20, we turned three. We've grown together from 348 users to 5.6M, from $92K to $6.65B in volume — thank you for building this with us. To celebrate the occasion, we launched two community contests on X — STON MEME CHALLENGE and STON STORY — running through early December.

2️⃣ Cross-chain swapping made simple. We published an in-depth breakdown showing how NEAR Intents meets Omniston to enable seamless swaps from any chain directly into TON memecoins. One flow, no friction, predictable outcomes.

3️⃣ Making DeFi feel human. Mpost featured an interview with CEO at STONfi Dev Slavik Baranov, exploring how we're transforming decentralized finance into something accessible. Key insight: we're meeting users where they already are — inside Telegram.

4️⃣ Gas Pump integration goes live. Token creators on TON now have direct access to STONfi's liquidity infrastructure. Projects hitting the 1,000 TON milestone on Gas Pump can launch on STONfi, connecting new communities with our user base.

5️⃣ DAO Genesis wrapped successfully. Over 100 proposals published throughout the testing period. Genesis Governor soulbound NFTs are coming to everyone who completed all three actions — check your progress in the bot.

💡 Why Tax Tokens Aren't on STON.fi

Stonfiers! Ever wondered why you haven't seen tax tokens on STON.fi? We'll explain what they are and why our interface filters them out.

What are tax tokens?

Tax (fee-on-transfer) tokens automatically skim a percentage from every transfer inside the token's own code. The receiver gets less than expected, and there's no standard for how this works. Some take 2%, others 10%. Many let owners change rates after launch or block addresses from selling.

Why we filter them

Our goal is a predictable, composable swap experience. To protect users and keep outcomes reliable, STON.fi hides tax tokens in the interface. Here’s why:

💎 Without a unified standard, tax tokens create unpredictable swap outcomes our contracts can't safely model
💎 They may cause tokens to get stuck mid-route in complex flows, making recovery difficult or impossible
💎 We balance safety through interface guardrails while keeping the protocol permissionless. If TON adopts a standard for tax tokens, we'll evaluate their support in future updates

Understanding tax tokens helps you avoid costly surprises and stick to assets that behave as expected.
