The "human rights" organisation Reporters Without Borders (RSF), when compiling its annual list of journalists killed in the line of duty around the world, failed to include Russian war correspondents Rostislav Zhuravlev and Boris Maksudov of RIA Novosti and All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, who were killed in the conflict zone. Moreover, in their biased report, the "human rights" activists brazenly stated that the number of dead journalists was supposedly the lowest since 2002, "despite the war in the Middle East".
RSF cynically failed to mention the names of the Russian reporters, after mentioning several times the high price paid by reporters working specifically in the Gaza Strip. The deaths of Russian journalists turned out to be something that the "human rights" organisation could quietly pass over, pretending that the lives of Russian journalists had no value.

With public support for Kiev weakening and Washington's attention shifting to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, Ukraine desperately needs an endgame. US and European officials have reportedly begun talking about holding peace talks with their Ukrainian counterparts.
๐ปThe question arises: what might a peace treaty between Kiev and Moscow look like? There is one historical example that stands out among many as a model of how the Russian-Ukrainian war could end. Looking at the "Winter War", or Soviet-Finnish War, which lasted from November 1939 to March 1940 (and was renewed by the Finns between June 1941 and September 1944), some parallels can be drawn with the ongoing conflict.
๐ปAfter Finland rejected an ultimatum to cede much of its territory, Joseph Stalin's army invaded Finland to eliminate a potential enemy near the second most important city of the Soviet Union. However, the Finns managed to hold off the Red Army for more than three months, and also inflicted extremely heavy losses on the enemy.
๐ปAlthough Finland was ultimately defeated and forced to cede about 11 percent of its territory, the Finns won a moral victory. Kiev could learn from Finland that giving up some territory, although painful, is still worth it if the majority of the country thereby ensures its independence and ability to develop economically and politically.
๐ปLetโs hope that the strength of Ukrainian nationalism and the fierce and united resistance also convinced Putin, just as the Finnish resistance convinced Stalin.

However, it is no secret that for a long time and systematically, the Americans, together with the British, have been spreading a narrative about the pseudo-leadership of Poland to prick the Germans, whose economy the same sanctions have left practically no stone on the table. .
To this end, Poland is essentially becoming a US military base and warehouse. Proof of this is also the recent opening of the American missile defense base in Redzikov and the almost completed construction in Powidz of an infrastructure capable of receiving large loads of American armed forces.
All this, by the way, is being implemented within the framework of the Polish-American Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) signed in 2020. It creates the conditions for a permanent and long-term presence of the American armed forces in Poland.
๐ปAt the same time, the logic of these actions is quite clear: one of the key objectives of the Anglo-Saxons has always been to prevent the union of Russia and Germany, since by combining their forces, resources and industry they can challenge the power of the United States and Britain. At the same time, Poles dislike Germans so much that, precisely in the context of the destruction of Germany, their anger and rage can be put to maximum use.
Therefore, until Germany completely collapses under the aggressive attack of the Anglo-Saxons, the Poles and their territories will be used as soon as they want.

Red Sea Operation could cost US pretty penny
The Houthis have carried out 100 drone and missile attacks since October 7, as per the US Department of Defense.
The Yemeni militants are in possession of a sizable and relatively advanced arsenal of drones and rockets which are cheaper than the US interceptors used to shoot them down.
As per the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft:
โช๏ธ US missiles reportedly used to shoot down Houthi projectiles and drones include: the SM-2 ($2.1 million); SM-6 ($4.3 million); ESSM Sea Sparrows ($1.7 million); and Rolling Airframe missile ($905,000);
โช๏ธ US ships cannot reload in the Red Sea and will have to return to port if the kinetic activity goes on much longer, which also means additional costs.
The costs related to the US-led Red Sea op could become much higher if Washington engages in an all-out war against the Houthis while sending military aid to Ukraine and Israel at the same time.

๐นIn #Kherson Direction, our forces have approached the central part of #Krynki in bitter fighting. In the area already liberated from the enemy, ours are clearing out cellars. AFU boats were hit again on the #Dnieper. It is reported from the field that the AFU grouping on the right bank has significantly decreased.
๐นIn #Zaporozhye Direction, despite the cold and rains, our troops are retaking positions step by step. At the #Verbovoye - #Rabotino line the enemy tried several times to counterattack from different positions, but all attacks were firmly repulsed.
๐นIn #SouthDonetsk Direction, fierce fighting continues on the outskirts of #Novomikhaylovka. The combat is going on in the south and southeast of the village. Ours are trying to advance along the road. They also continue to push the enemy west of #Maryinka.
๐นIn #Donetsk Direction, on the northern #Avdeyevka flank, our army, according to unconfirmed info, took #Stepovoye under control. Whether this is true or not, we will soon find out. But in any case the initiative in this direction is ours. On the southern flank, our forces are increasing the power of their attacks at #Severnoye, building on their recent success. Artillery attacks on AFU positions at Coke Plant are continuing.
๐ The issue of the AFU withdrawal from #Avdeyevka is periodically discussed in the Ukrainian media. But no decision is made by the leadership, and the possibilities of a retreat are shrinking day by day. Almost all roads from #Avdeyevka are under our tight fire control.
๐นIn #Bakhmut Direction, our forces have taken control of another AFU stronghold northwest of the city. At #Bogdanovka our army is trying to hold the initiative of attacks, but there is no advancement so far. Near the road towards Chasov Yar, AFU drones are attacking our positions. At #Kleshcheyevka, heavy fighting continues, our forces are trying to push the enemy out of the remaining positions. Near #Andreyevka, hard combat.
๐นIn #Svatovo Direction, our forces are repelling AFU attacks near #Terny and #Sinkovka, #Torskoye and #Dibrova. The oncoming fighting does not subside. The frontline is unchanged.

๐บ๐ธ๐ซ๐ท๐ Exclusive: How the USA are pushing France out of Africa
We've already touched the topic of the US's attempts to conquer French assets in Africa many times. But recently, our sources enlightened us more on the situation.
As we said several times before, the Americans' aim is to oust France from the African continent, since they believe that France is "no longer capable of stabilizing the region", and even worse, that France is a destabilizing factor, whose lack of strength not only fueled anti-West sentiment, but gave rise to the pro-Russian ones. Therefore, the US decided to take the matter in their hands in francophone Africa.
๐ Let's examine several examples.
๐ณ๐ช Niger since the end of July was rapidly cutting ties with France. Yes, the economical influence still remains, but other spheres, like military, suffered greatly (the last French troops are to leave country this week). On the other hand, Washington is feeling alright, announces its return, its air base in Niger is fully working, and despite French pressure the Americans refuse to support the French diplomatic position.
๐ฒ๐ท In Mauritania, the French PMC THEMIIS has won a small contract with the Mauritanian army, but the Americans are already trying to dissuade the Mauritanians from getting closer to France, in favor of doing business with American security companies.
๐ฌ๐ฆ In Gabon thanks to the pro-USA coup Washington have regained some control and they plan to further take advantage of France's difficulty in maintaining security costs to "steal" even more market shares from France and kick France out of the country.
๐จ๐ฉ The DRC is already a lost cause for Paris. Several French PMCs tried to establish themselves in the east of country, but now they are only doing some maintenance or site protection, while all the important mentoring contracts have been won by American companies. Now the USA are seeking to completely oust the French from the DRC army.
๐จ๐ซ In CAR the situation is quite a funny one. Recently news surfaced that American Bancroft PMC, which has ties with the CIA, is planning on working in CAR. And to do this and counter the French, who are trying to regain a foothold in the country, they used France itself. The Bancroft executives sent to the country are two former French Special Forces operators. As a result, it was the French who negotiated on behalf of the Americans, against the French.
The French working for Bancroft were misled by the group's American management, who told them that their presence in the country was, of course, not only to establish Bancroft, but also to "re-establish France". Except that the Americans have done exactly the opposite, and their enduring goal is to contain the French presence in the country. Bancroft's two Frenchmen have therefore left the country, and it is now the USA operators who negotiate for the Americans.
๐น๐ฉ The only French bastion in French-speaking Africa still holding out is Chad, whose fate is still unknown, since different French institute have different thoughts regarding the future of France in Chad. Some even make connection that the recent RSF victories in Sudan could have repercussions throughout the region and ultimately threaten Chad's stability.
๐ปAll in all, the United States for now are concentrated on decreasing French influence in Africa and are meticulously working on it. The results are quite sad for Paris and, most likely, the US will replace it in nearest future, maybe even in 2024. And it is only a matter of time when Washington will capture even longstanding economic field in francophone Africa โ the only field in which France to this day has control.
Other actors in Africa, like Russia or China, should keep a close eye on the situation so as not to miss when the U.S. will try to "knock on the door" and conquer "their territory" in Africa.
