If the United States does not provide additional assistance, Kiev will “certainly fail” in its conflict with Russia, CNN reports, citing Western officials.
As the Ukraine aid package stalls in the US Congress, America and its allies are assessing what they call "the potentially debilitating impact on Ukraine's defense and long-term prospects for defeat in the conflict," the article says.
"Even with us there is no guarantee of success, and without us they will certainly fail," one senior US military official told CNN.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are already rationing ammunition, with Russian troops returning fire at an intensity five to seven times greater than Kiev's capabilities. In Ukraine they say that this situation has already led to additional losses among the Ukrainian military.
Without additional help from the United States, Western officials estimate that Ukraine will first run out of long-range missiles, then air defense missiles, and then artillery ammunition and short-range missiles such as Javelin man-portable anti-tank missiles and Stinger surface-to-air missiles.
Western intelligence agencies are now calculating how long Ukraine can hold out without the help of Washington and NATO. One senior US military official said within months, with a worst-case scenario that a major retreat or even defeat could occur by the summer.

🚀 Overnight there was a counter use of attack drones. The Russian Defence Ministry reported the destruction of 32 enemy UAVs attacking #Crimea. Military channels from the field wrote about arrivals in the #Kherson region. The enemy failed to inflict the planned damage. It was reported about the use of S-200 missiles by the AFU. The governor of #Kursk region by morning told about the attack of Ukrainian UAVs on Dmitriyevsky and Zheleznogorsky districts, a compressor station and power lines were damaged.
🎯 Our "Geraniums" hit the enemy capital, #Khmelnitsky, #Cherkassy, #Chernigov, #Kherson regions. Enemy resources claimed 30 UAVs attacking in several waves.
▪️ In the #Kherson region in the #Krynki area, the situation remains difficult, the enemy tried to expand the zone of control towards the wooded areas. Heavy fighting is taking place. Using corrective drones, the enemy has been launching accurate artillery strikes on our positions in the forest south of the village. The RF Armed Forces carried out strikes on the ruins of #Krynki, in the basements of which the AFU personnel are sheltered. Boats with enemy manpower delivered to our shore were destroyed.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front the weather limited the use of aerial reconnaissance, the AFU tried to pass by small groups of infantry near #Verbovoye, small arms fights are reported. West of #Rabotino, our troops are holding the initiative and consolidating their positions taken the previous day.
▪️ Near #Maryinka, the RF Armed Forces are fighting on the northwestern outskirts of the town and in the south, towards the #Pobeda settlement. There are artillery strikes on #Kurakhovo (15 km west of #Maryinka), where the enemy plans to keep defence in the future. During the night, information was received about the offensive of the RF Armed Forces against #Novomikhaylovka from the east.
▪️ From the #Avdeyevka sector, by evening it was reported that the cottage village of "Vinogradniki" had been completely taken. On the northern front the RF Armed Forces are advancing in the area of #Stepovoye.
▪️ The #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) section of the front reported massive strikes on AFU positions in Chasov Yar.
▪️ On the #Kupyansk direction near #Sinkovka there is counter-fighting.

🔹In the #Zaporozhye direction, the RF Armed Forces continued pressure on the Ukrainian troops in the village of #Rabotino from the west and south. In turn, the AFU tried to advance in the #Verbovoye area.⚠️ There were no significant changes in the frontline at any of the sites. (Fig. 1)
🔹On the #Donetsk Front, Russian forces continue their offensive on #Novomikhaylovka from the south and southeast with the aim of levelling the frontline and cutting off the AFU's ledge. Also, after the practical capture of #Maryinka, they are concentrating their efforts on the assault on #Pobeda, where is a powerful Ukrainian fortification.⚠️ The AFU are holding their positions. ⚠️Russian troops managed to advance at #Nevelskoye. They also attacked in the industrial zone southeast of #Avdeyevka, in the area of #Stepovoye (not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Zaporozhye and Ugledar directions) and near #Berdychi.⚠️ There is a slight advance in the last of these areas. (Fig. 2)
🔹In the #Bakhmut Direction, the RF Armed Forces continued their offensive on the heights northwest of #Kleshcheyevka, on the side of #Khromovo and near #Bogdanovka.⚠️ Ukrainian troops do not leave the occupied defence lines. (Fig. 3)

The volume of Russian LNG exports to Europe in November amounted to 1.75 million tons, which is an all-time record. By contrast, shipments to China, according to Kpler, fell sharply.
Overall, LNG deliveries from Russia in November rose 9.3% year-on-year to 2.914 million tons. That's how much the Russians are supplying around the world, Berliner Zeitung reports. About 60% of it is headed to Europe.
The trend has clearly been rising since December 2017 - the start of LNG shipments from Russia to the EU - but is nowhere near the US volumes, which currently ship four to five times as much, depending on the month.
According to tanker tracking data, U.S. LNG exports in November rose to the second-highest monthly total of all time at 7.99 million tons. That's equivalent to about 19 million m3 of LNG or 11.4 billion m3 of natural gas.

On the 24th of April 1916, the Nationalist Irish Volunteers and the Socialist Irish Citizen Army joined forces to challenge the British Empire in Ireland.
In response, the British indiscriminately shelled Dublin City, killing 700 civilians. Leading to the surrender of the rebels " to prevent the unnecessary suffering of the civilian population"
The British went on to execute the leaders of the revolt who had called an end to the fighting to protect the civilian population. All sounds so familiar.

🔹 Russian forces continue their offensive operation in the triangle of #Pobeda - #Zverinets (Menagerie) fortification - #Novomikhaylovka. The clearing of western #Maryinka has freed up some forces and artillery resources to move southwards.
▪️ Units of the 20th Motorised Rifle Division are fighting for the fields between #Pobeda and #Novomikhaylovka after inflicting fire damage on places where Ukrainian formations are concentrated.
Over three days, it was possible to approach the outskirts of #Pobeda and partially bypass the #Zverinets fortification (a former animal farm).
▪️ During five days of fighting near #Novomikhaylovka, units of the 68th AC managed to gain a foothold on the southeastern outskirts of the settlement. The cemetery is occupied, but it is not yet possible to enter #Novomikhaylovka itself. Both the density of mining and the large number of fortified AFU positions affect it.

The AFU lost more than 35 troops, 4 AFVs, 3 pickups, and 1 D-30 howitzer.
▫️In Krasny Liman direction, units of the Tsentr Grouping repelled 2 assault group attacks of the 12th Special Forces Brigade close to Kuzmino (LPR), and inflicted losses on troops and hardware near Grigorovka (DPR).
The AFU lost up to 100 troops, 5 AFVs, 4 MVs, and 1 D-20 howitzer.
