⚜️📝 I’m afraid of the dentist. Always have been, for 1-........ I can remember. Even if the dentist is really, really kind and 2-..... , I’m still afraid. Even if the dental surgery is 3-....... and there’s relaxing music, I’m still afraid. Dentists for me 4-........ a bit. When I was a child, I 5-..... the sound of the 6-...... . That sound is still 7-...... today. When I was young, I hated the smell. Same smell today. I can’t wait for the 8-...... scientists 9-..... something so we never 10-..... dentists. The strange thing is, when I was younger, I wanted to be a dentist. I 11-...... it would be good to 12-...... people just like me. I felt I would understand others who have the same fear. I think I would have been a good dentist.

Isn’t it amazing how the radio has survived? It’s been around for maybe a hundred years and is still going strong. I don’t think it’ll ever disappear. We all listen to the radio at some point in our week. Even with all our new technology, the radio is still an important way of getting music, news and information. I remember my first radio. Forty years ago now. It looks pretty much the same as today’s radios. I used to listen to soccer matches on Saturdays. I still do that. I also loved breakfast radio. I love my iPod but when I’m driving, I turn on the car radio. I like the mix of chat, jokes and songs, except I don’t always like the songs, the jokes or the chat. And some radio presenters are really annoying.#British_Listening

⚜️📝Everybody should 1-....... gardening as a hobby. We can all get 2-...... to nature. Thousands of years ago we all did a bit of gardening. It’s one of the most relaxing hobbies I can think of. It’s also very 3-...... . I get very excited about gardening. I love planting 4-...... and then letting nature 5-...... over. It’s amazing how 6-...... things grow. Before you know it, your seeds are beautiful flowers. You also 7-..... a lot about flowers, vegetables, 8-...... and trees. Of course, gardening is also very practical. If you grow vegetables, you can eat what you grow. Vegetables 9-...... fresh from your garden really do taste better than the ones in the shops. Gardening is good for you. It makes you feel 10-...... of the Earth.

Few people stop and think just how amazing electricity is. With the 4-...... of a switch, you can power almost anything. Think about what would happen if there was no electricity. 5-..... have no TV, no computers, no 6-..... signals. It would be like going back to living in 7-..... . There are a few negative points about electricity, of course. Number one, it’s dangerous. Thousands of people die each year from 8-...... themselves or in electrical 9-..... . And number two, it isn’t good for the environment. Most electricity comes from burning 10-...... and that creates greenhouse gasses.#British_Listening

⚜️📝 Airplanes are amazing. How 1-.... something so big and heavy 2-..... the ground? I’m always amazed at how the millions of different parts work together. Travelling by airplane is always 3-..... experience. I don’t care 4-..... economy class is 5-..... and has no space. I like playing with the 6-...... entertainment system, especially now they have all the 7-.... movies. I also love airplane food. Many of my friends say it’s 8-..... , but I love it. I often ask the passenger next to me if I can have the 9-........ they don’t want. The only thing I don’t like about planes is 10-...... . When the airplane hits those air pockets, I always worry we’ll crash. But I once read that 10-...... has never caused an airplane to crash.

Sand is very useful. You can do so many things with it. You can make sand 1-....... , 2-........ yourself in it and 3-....... your toes in it. Perhaps the biggest use of sand is in building. Most of today’s buildings would not be 4-....... without sand. I wonder where sand came from. How did it get there? 5-......... so much sand in the world. I’d love to know how many 6-......... of sand there are in the world. A lot of sand comes from deserts. Going to the desert and looking at the sand is the best thing for me. The many shapes and 7-........ the sand makes is amazing. I 8-...... experienced a sand experience. It was a 9-........ . I almost couldn’t see anything in front of me because there was so much sand 10-........ .
